That was classic!!! Reminds me of that idiot with the yellow vette who did the same ‘clutch disk burnout’ instead of smoking the tires before he replaced them. The guy was a total toolbag. He says “Bye bye $600!!!” Proceeds to stink up the stealership parking lot with friction material, and absolutely NO tire smoke, then gets out of the car after failing miserably and says “That was test 1...” LOL then there’s like 3 techs circling the car saying “Your clutch is gone,” and “That was NOT the tires!!” 🤣🤣🤣

Dude, I just gotta say I am impressed. I absolutely refused to keep rolling around under my cars when I turned 40. Now I'm up on a lift or it ain't gettin' fixed. This is like "I'm 16 years old and have no money and I need this thing to run right now" level of work when you dropped the tank and flushed it in that parking lot. I don't think I can pull that off any more, which is why I got the building and the lift, and the cars that don't break every other trip. Kudos to you for being such a warrior.

We talk about the ford granada to a ramp and sent it over a old coal pile. I got 10 feet in the air. I hit at 50 mph. Fubared the car but i was fine strapped in. Living a hour away in Ontreabill's we both now if that truck rolled in to your shop from here, it would be a scrap run or access door as soon as someone asked to drop the tank. LOL not going to happen in a parking lot . Your so right about south cars, just think how many good cars could be saved for less than a new car . You could be non stop restoration to fill the void of new cars waiting on chips to never arrive lol.

Epic episode! Not tell you what to do by any stretch, but keeping the twin I-beam setup and installing a long travel kit could get you some serious suspension travel and you'd have a hell of a Pre Runner with that coyote engine. Ditching 4WD may be worth it for something that can hit the whoops at speed. If not, the solid axle build will be cool too.
@andrewjoyce77893 жыл бұрын
Maybe someone took a slash in the tank, friend had a 1965 Mini and someone peed in the fuel tank (seems the designer put the filler at a convienant height) and it was never the same again. Had to replace it but a 15 minute job tops. Looks like you had a great trip despite the roadside stops!
