How to Kill a Wasp / Hornet / Yellow Jacket / Hive / Nest Hanging in A Tree

How to kill a wasp hive / nest with out dying. Make sure you do it at night because this will most likely not attacking you. This hive was the size of a Childs soccer ball or a kitten ball if you know what that is. I am pretty sure they were wasp but, they could have been below jacket. Either way it hurt like heck when I got stung in the head mowing.

I just did the method on a good sized nest and it worked. DO NOT HOLD A LIGHT SOURCE. Instead, put the flashlight elsewhere. I'm so glad that I changed plans though. I planned to hold the flashlight while spraying, but at the last minute I thought they would go straight for the flashlight so I put the flashlight about 25 feet from me pointing at the nest. If the nest was the center of a clock, I stood at 6 o'clock and the flashlight was at 3 o'clock so as not to blind me but direct the hornets away from me. I emptied the 3 cans I bought today plus the 4 cans that I didn't quite trust that I had on hand. Those hornets came out of that nest like a bat out of hell and went straight for the flashlight. Thank goodness I wasn't holding it. The hornets never found me, but man had I been holding that flashlight I would have been lit up.

I tried that with bold faced hornets WHILE holding the flashlight, and they chased me 😂

Like the idea of emptying a full can of the non-foaming spray FIRST to disintegrate and soak the nest, followed by the foaming spray to coat the remaining portions to ensnare the wasps coming late to the party. Bastards!! Thanks for risking your life to post, brotha!

Getting them at night seems to hp a bit since they seem to be all in nest. Nest in our area dont get as big. Might try get the foam style one next time around, i heard they tend to be better

And just so you all know it’s not that they can’t see you and it’s not that they don’t or can’t fly at night it’s just that they’re less angry and less active at night but it doesn’t mean that they won’t sting you and black and yellow hornets I believe are just likeblack and white killer hornets where they will sting you and they all come after you

If it’s a hanging nest or located where there’s lots of wiggle room, I just use a pressure washer to blow it to smitheerens
