So in this case, a few thousand wisps exploding were enough to destroy Archimonde's summoned body, thrusting him back into the Twisting Nether

That's actually very easy... Grab the proxy gold mine then rush the south base, than the north base. Cenarius will pop up, dont bother with him just use about 8-10 of catapults to destroy the buildings. Take over the goldmines, kill the 3rd base and just mass turrets, u only need about 40-50 than lure Cenarius. Eazy

Thanks for the game plan! haha I nearly did it, but I pulled him too late and got Furion stuck somewhere. Thank goodness their attacks stop after you destroy their main, slaughter house, and altar. I found 3 GMs were enough too 😅😅 so didn't need to steal any more GMs. I got the bears at the start to help defend against the 1st few attacks.

Technically archimonde is a summon, right? Detonate Destroys the Wisp, dispelling all magical buffs and draining 50 mana from each unit in an area around the Wisp. Deals 225 damage to summoned units.

You can also get furbolgs with chaos damage, kill all acolytes and necropolis with mines, then clear up all production buildings or supply ones. AI wont be able to produce anything that way, then get an army that will tank for furbolgs and with malfurion You are easly able to tank and kill him, and after all that You just wait for the mission to end.

btw there is a bit easier way, in mercenary camp there are furbolg champions which have chaos attack, if you get some of them and heal them with your druids/malfurion, they will spank Archimond pretty fast

very elegant, but I have some questions 1. 42:32 even in the original RoC, Archimonde re-spawns with only 500 HP ad not full, why? 2. 43:10 does Archimonde's soul go to heaven, Twisting Nether, to an altar or is it gone forever? 3. 48:11 in the original RoC if Archimonde dies, the interlude shows only the portrait picture and otherwise Archimonde isn't on screen, but here we see Archimonde, why? 4. 48:30 did Archimonde crawl under or jump over the gate's arch?

But meh, the reason why he got defeated by detonation is because he is just a summoned unit in azeroth. Kel'thuzad summoned him XD Summoned units can be easily destroyed by wisp detonations XD.
