Wow, I wish I would have seen this last year. I had no idea what armyworms even were. Your information was most helpful! I used Spectracide - couldn't find a lawn person in the area who was familiar with them and didn't have the preventative and/or the killer. So that's all I could find - had to do it myself but it worked!!

I have worms but they are not army worms. They look like fishing worms and they form tiny mounds that look like beads of dirt similar to mole crickets. I've poured soapy water over the mounds and in minutes the worms appear. I use Talstar to get rid of the mole crickets. Will Talstar work on these worms. Thanks Doc, my Tifway looks great since I have been following your calendar.

Have had early morning and late afternoon robins on my yard almost daily for months now. No grass damage that I can tell, and it looks like they only have earthworms in their beaks. I’ll probably put this down to be safe, though. Also, I found common Bermuda in my sod somehow so I pulled it out. Is it normal for sod to contain some common Bermuda? Quite annoying.

Hi Doc, Do you have any experience with bermuda grass mites? I think I may have a few areas infected by them. My bermuda is clumping/changing color. Can you share any treatments or experience you have please. I don't know what to do and afraid of it getting worse.

Always love your vids Doc. I've learned so much and I have one of the better lawns in my neighborhood. I'm in Newnan, Ga. by the way. I even have a couple of my neighbors watching you now as they admire the 27K sq. ft. green ocean I have ;) So for army worms double kill in or around July if detected? But for grubs double kill in the spring and fall correct? If one has to treat for army worms inbetween but also for grubs later would that be too much product in one year? Just curious.

DOC, commented about a week ago about my bermuda yard on the house I just bought. You told me to spray weeds, fertilize lawn, and then put out light pre emergent. I have ordered everything. It's on the way. Can I do all of this same day or should I wait a bit between all steps? Your help is greatly appreciated

I also got the DuoCide for insects. Can I apply that to the lawn when I do all these other steps. Just don't want to over do it at first.

thank you for this video ...at this time i still think It is still outlawed in my state to use that chemical, because the birds swarm in to eat the poisoned worms,, and the golf course i worked with ended up with a bunch of dead birds , maby they learned new math since 1991?

Hey Doc. So i just did my soil test and waiting for results. Its been raining a good amount here in NC but my soil in my entire lawn has a slippery algae on the top layer of the soil. Any experience with this. I put down a fungicide about a month ago. Im thinking about doing a bayer algae spray but im going to wait for the soil results. You think this could be due to low nitrogen or maybe low phosphorus. I might have to go with a power rake to rake it off the soil. Any help with this?
