over the years...we've usually gone with granular apps when we go for "preventative" modes of action, and go with wettable/liquid spray when treating in "curative" modes of action looking for "quick knock down" of lawn/landscape pests... what is the applicator's comfort zone? these chemicals are quite safe and effective when used correctly....

Great video Allyn! So many folks in my lawn groups deal with these fellas. They are my enemy. Two things I saw- your bird poop may be bird poop, but look in that area next time and try to find a couple more for me. That appears to be what we call window feeding, where an insect eats through one side the leaf and leaves a 'window,' converse to hole feeding that is more common. Two, SW eggs are laid in flat clusters on the leaf are are clear/creamy white. They later turn an amber color. The twitter photos provided looks like dried frass. In really bad outbreak areas you get a dusty appearance through the entire area from dried grass particles. Cheers!

I have treated my lawn about a month ago with the complete granular and hopefully that will kill off the larve. I got some Bifen 7.9% and will put that down on Saturday. If there’s anything else I need to be doing please share! I was wondering if the moths originated from me watering my lawn daily because of the fertilizer/insecticide I put down. Hummm….Thanks!

How long does the Bifenthrin 7.9 control sod webworms in the lawn?
@rickjames12464 ай бұрын
Bifen is a contact knockdown insecticide. It will coat the grass blade and the worms need to make contact with it for them to die. How long the product will last on the grass is dependent on rain/water and mowing frequency. Generally you will need to spray every 3-4 weeks when spraying your yard. It will last maybe 1-2 months when spraying for bugs around the exterior of your house.
