If you don't want to bother killing the dragon, but worry about Biorr dying. After you run past the dragon, and get inside, save and exit out the game. When you reenter the dragon will spawn back at his first perch until you move outside the building. Preventing Biorr from spawning.

U can kill him with arrows. If he is on the building just take 150 Green arrows( I don’t know the Name of it, u can get them in 5-1 or 5-2 from the old woman). Firing like 15 on him and wait till the effect goes away. Firing the next 15. do this maybe 10 times and he dies too. Just in case u don’t have a mage Build...

You can also use Kunai, you can throw them like a mile...I killed that old woman on accident. 5-1 scared me at first, and I just kinda ran through swinging.

While Fire Spray might be "easy", it's also extremely slow. The Dragons are also resistant to Fire, so... All you need to do is target the head, and as soon as you see it snap its head back, getting ready to breath fire, just cast Soul Ray, otherwise Soul Arrow so that they hit when the Dragon is breathing fire directly at you. It's much, much faster. For non-magic classes, Poison Kunai or Rotten Arrows can do the trick to get it started, but otherwise use Light Arrows (because you take a damage penalty if you are farther out than your Bow's listed range, and most Bows have around three-fourths the range of the White Bow). Any starting class has enough DEX to use even the Short Bow at worst other than the Barbarian and Priest (all you need to do is invest 1-2 points into DEX though). Even then, if you decide to play this game 100% without using a Bow, you are truly playing Hard Mode. Bows are extremely useful, even the Short Bow, and even if you don't even meet the requirements to use it and are only doing 1-3 points of damage with it. Pulling enemies out of a group is very beneficial sometimes. You can also Poison with Poison Arrows with a Bow you do not meet the requirements for. The spot *under* its head is the easiest way to kill it, and when I say *under* I mean *under*, near the opening of the castle. There's no need to be "protected" from its fire when all you have to do is run up the stairs on the left side after the fire starts sweeping the stairs from left to right. You are overcomplicating how hard this is, and you absolutely do not need a bunch of fire resistance for this. You shouldn't ever be getting hit by the flames in the first place. This channel gives great advice more often than not and usually has great build guides, but sometimes... Lastly, you can speed this up by being in Hyper Mode (Clever Rat's Ring and Morion Blade). At worst, you can just use the Clever Rat's Ring by itself with the Ring of Magical Sharpness. This is actually one reason you *might* want to get hit a single time by the flames too if you are not already at 30% or less health, and have enough health to take one breath (although I wouldn't recommend lowering your health by that method unless you're sure).

i understand that this message is 3 years old, but i still comment here. Fire Spray deals 10 damage per cast to dragon. (I have 48 magic) Soul Ray deals 40 damage per cast to dragon. In the SAME time it will take you to cast soul ray once, you can cast fire spray about 5-6 times. And it will take LESS mana than casting Souls Ray once. Math is mathing in favor of fire spray even if "damage per hit" is lower.

You don’t necessarily have to get the items mentioned at the start (where you can’t kill the Blue Dragon) by reaching White World Tendency. If you summon someone and they stand on the bridge to keep the Red Dragon distracted, you can pick the items up while dodging the Blue Dragon’s tail. Discovered this after summoning an absolute Chad of a random at the start of NG+!

I recently killed this guy in the original game, only cost me 250 rotten arrows ( 100.000 souls ) the rotten arrow has an accumulative damage, so if you shoot like 30 of them the dagame will continue for like 2 minutes. Once he flies to the entrance of the castle you can still shoot him, it will be slower but definitevely possible. I had an strenght focus build so magic was no option for me at this point. I shoot it with a long bow +2. WIth the ring of avarice + using the soul I got like 80.000 souls back.

What's really disappointing IMO is that in 1-1 they made it so that you cannot *kill* the Red Dragon, even though you can do enough damage to do so. As soon as you get it to 50% it flies away and forces you to fight it again in 1-2.

@@miguelalves7333 Notice, I never said you could not kill it. You just cannot kill it in 1-1, which you didn't do. You did that in 1-2. In 1-1 at the nest, you can get it all the way down to 50%, but then it flies off and you no longer can attack it until it starts carpet bombing the bridge in 1-2. Furthermore, you don't have to kill it near the tower. You can actually chop its tail as it flies past at the area right before the fire hits the ground when it starts a new run.

@Karin Ritter Yeah, I know. You can also actually loot the entire nest regardless of whether or not the Red Dragon is even there breathing fire or not. I was solely talking about killing it, because it's pretty annoying to deal with in 1-2 if you don't kill it, and I don't feel like running underground the entire time.

I think this has been patched as when I stand where you stand he changes the path of the flame to make it go towards the wall this is so frustrating. IO am doing a knight build and all I have is a bow. NPC is dead and I can’t stand anywhere to target or hit it without standing in the fire. Anyone got any ideas?

I literally finished the game just yesterday and the same thing happened to me. I had no idea why but after some searching I found out it depends on world tendency. When you're about to face the blue Dragon on the stairs leading to the throne room while world tendency is pure black, biorr will attack you. Of course NPCs hostility does not depend on world tendency so it's more likely a bug.

Kunai also works well. Stand in the same spot, use the bow to aim (point slightly higher), throw one and make sure it hits. Then throw another 10 or so, wait for the damage to stop. Repeat.

Roll towards its tail and stay underneath it right by the cliff edge and cast poison. You can do this in 1-1, but he just flies away when his/her health reaches near 0..... You can do this in the older version too, just make sure you got a lot of old spices on you.
