I have been knitting for about 30 years now and I have found that designers are making pattern instructions so complicated when they really don't need to be. I had forgotten how to make a bobble, so I thank you for your easy to follow video.

Thank you, very easy to follow, learnt something new today. Knitted granddaughter a hat with bobbles. Awesome.

WOW. There are many tutorials on KZbin on how to make bobbles. And there are many different ways to make them, all with results from disappointing to disastrous. THIS one, however, is the only one that results in perfect, round, professional stitches, no matter what weight yarn. Finally, I can get that fisherman knit sweater started. Thank you.

This is a very clear instruction video! I had never even heard of the Bobble stitch, and now I feel like I could do it! And I only watched it once. :)

Thank you so much for posting this! The instructions are so easy and clear to follow. I would never have been able to figure this out through written instructions (even if there were diagrams!). Thanks again for helping us all become better knitters!

Very good tutorial. As someone who knits and crochets, though, I have to say making bobbles is a breeze in crochet compared to this.

Thank you for such clear instructions! Is there any special way we need to secure the bobbles if we’re doing them on a pattern in the round? My bobbles keep wanting to pop back onto the inside (WS) and I find myself needing to constantly push them back to the RS.

With that last K2Tog, don’t you end up losing a stitch in the row? It seems like you went down a stitch. Great video!
@tambraarchibald62175 жыл бұрын
Hi SuperDesignChick! No, you don’t lose a stitch. The bobble started with being picked up between stitches. When it is finished and you pass the final slipped stitch over, you still have one extra stitch per bobble. On the next row you will k2tog or p2tog above the bobble to get back to even. Hope that helps!

Can you add a bobble when knitting in the round?
@websyarn11 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. You usually knit a bobble all in the same row. So you can make them in the round as easily as you would when knitting flat.
