Hi Jen! Can’t believe I didn’t comment on ur video when I saw it years ago😱. I just want to tell u, thank u so much for this tutorial ( & ur others )💕🥰. I’ve made lots of scrunchies for people & my daughter & myself😁. I have been using the same one every day for over 2 years ( except when I wash it & let it air dry ) & it’s just now getting loose on the elastic but the outside is still just as good. No breaks tears or rips. No hair tie or scrunchie has ever lasted this long. I’m lucky if they last a week, before popping. I no longer have that issue💕. I love this!!! Thank you so much! Your video is great! My two ends of the tubes seem to be a little big I'm not sure I'm putting it together correctly? I made a scrunchie and I really like it. I pulled the yarn through from side one to side two and then went back to side one and pulled it through to side two and did this all the way around. I wondered if I should have done it differently. Can you explain a little more how you put the ends together?

I feel like sewing the ends together could make the elastic weaker. I think I will just tie a knot. BUT I LOVE THIS TUTORIAL! I m making my first one now!

Hello i was wondering I have the pink spool loom with one side has 5 pegs and the other has 8 pegs. yours has 6 pegs so how do i go about making this scrunchie? I am fairly new at loom knitting. also can you make this scrunchie on a round loom some how? thank you so much. your video is great. goes at a great speed for someone like me. lol

You do it the exact same way she shows in the video. The only difference is the number of pegs. The more pegs, the wider the tube will be. Other than that, it’s the same. And this is a round loom, it’s just smaller.

@@linda4669 You’re very welcome! Have fun. There are some tutorials on a bigger round loom. With this type of loom you make a long tube & sew the short ends together. On a bigger round loom you’re making a very small tube and sewing/joining the longer ends. The circle part if that makes sense. Personally, I like the look of this scrunchie better. And the longer you make it the more material that scrunches together but don’t make it crazy long or it’ll be hard to get around the ponytail.

the safety pin keeps opening inside the tube and tearing it up how can i stop this from happening

I was having a hard time getting the elastic and safety pin through. I pinned the elastic to the safety pin and then pinned that to a straw and then pushed the straw through the tube. This was so much easier to get through the long tube.
