How to knit PFB - purl front & back

Step-by-step instructions on how to do the pfb knitting stitch

This is a detailed tutorial (+ slow-motion) on how to knit pfb. Purl front and back is a right-leaning knitting increase for the wrong side. It's very similar to kfb and you knit it by purling twice into the same stitch.
Step 1: Purl one regular stitch but keep the loop on the left needle
Step 2: Insert the right needle into the stitch one more time but this time through the back loop
Step 3: Purl one stitch through the back loop
The pfb knitting increase creates a little "bar" on the right side which is why it's also known as purl bar increase. To avoid that, you can slip the remaining loop twisted instead of purling it through back loop

Thank you! I'd like to ask you if there is a mirrored increase of pfb. I know you have a tutorial of the mirrored kfb (i don't remember the name) and I've asked myself if there is a mirrored increase of pfb that on the knit side look like the mirrored kfb increase. I've looked out on your chanel. The mirrored kfb incr = skl.

And I've tried on purl side and I think that I did it. On purl side you purl 1 tbl and then you pick up from the back the right leg of the stitch formed on the RN with the LN and purl it and from the knit side looks like kfb. Pfb looks from the knit side like skl.

I am sure there is. I haven't really givven it much thought because I rarely use these increases. I mean, even SKL is more or less my own inventiion..or rather unvention. right now, I don't think I have the time to give it more thought.
