I think my problem is that I tighten after I do the stitch. Makes it too tight and tangled Edit: That was 100% the problem. THERE IS NO NEED TO TIGHTEN THE STITCH!! Doing the next stitch with tighten it if you hold the yarn that you loop with taught. I wrapped it around my finger to keep it taught. But it wasn’t tight enough to leave a mark on my finger or anything. My blanket is coming along fantastically!

My mom and aunt taught me how to do the basic knit stick when I was younger and with them being left handed and me right handed, they didn’t really know how to show me how to knit with their opposite hand so I just learned to knit with my left hand being empty to start. If that made any sense lol.

I have tried so many times to do the first row of knit stitches but it NEVER works. I get this weird long loop of string at the end and then a really long loop holding all the stitches?? It looks *nothing* like hers and I’ve tried like 15 times. Rip
