@@9765-o6e well, you'll do a lot of shitty details, almost never actually do your job and have to work alongside bad leadership sometimes. A lot of Sergeants and Officers that have been in for years and only make things worse. You will get to understand what its like being part of the system. Even with all that, its the easiest job I've ever had. Just drink the Kool aid.

I just wish there was this kind of information when I joined in the 80's about the only information I got other than from my recruiter was from my late father who said it'll make a man out of you and they can't smack you around like when I was in listened to my recruiter ended up infantry but have no regrets

I ship off to Fort sill 11/22 and I'd say I'm pretty ready, of course I don't wanna be too cocky because arrogance kills. I'm physically fit but of course very nervous I might fail for SOME reason, maybe I'm just doubting myself, any tips?

1. Able to be yelled : I need someone to yell sense into me [ / ] 2. Work extra hour : I dont have "Self reward" thingy, overwork more rewarding [ / ] 3. Schedule PT : I love teamwork pt [ / ] 4. Family guy : I hate phone that my parent thought i disown them [ / ] Too bad im still ended up ELS even tho im just mere reservist, Becoz keep shown my passion when i not cable anymore I learn everything i could, do lot thing eagerly, sleep less and always said im available (stupid) People ended up rely task more on me bcoz i only newguy willing do shit without complain If i ever complain, other newguy would excuse that they not good enough as i do with my learning With naive camaraderie, im think im hero that help other It not their fault, they thought i still capable enough bcoz i keep pretend that i do So, dont play hero and know you limit Remember not everyone join army love it, even tho they volunteer for it (just dont expect them fine and spirited too) Dont do something better that what you paid for, unless someone life depend on it or no one gonna notice it Basically, be wise but not a jerk I glad reservist show this too me, I cant imagine how much im might fk up my platoon if i join army Still love those day. Good list, here's a few more: Can you shave everyday? Can you get a haircut twice a month to stay within regs? For active duty, can you PCS every 3 years on average to a new duty station? Can your wife cope with getting a new job and starting from scratch every time you move? If answer is no to previous question, can you make it work financially on ONE salary (soldiers don't make that much)? Are your kids OK with moving to a new school so often and never having any friends that you know for more than 3 years?

The job I was interested in was Dog Handler 31K. Does that job mean I would deploy? Do dog handlers spend a lot of time away from family? And is it hard or take a long time to get that MOS position?
