My ex said she had almost a year to process things since she had moved with her parents. She also said she is very confused and has clarity. Then she would post things knowing I would see them saying things like “overthinking hits hard at night” and “walking in nature helps me when I’m overthinking” about 3 weeks after the breakup. It’s now week 4. I saw her in person because we share pets and I brought one to the vet by her house. Previously she said she wasn’t ready to see me but when I went over for what I thought would be a brief encounter, I ended up staying over 3 hours there although we could both feel the unresolved tension and we kept the conversation at surface level.

In no contact, It's usually about 3 - 6 months when the dumper reaches out, especially if the dumper blocked you, but if that happens... the dumpee (the one who got dumped) should never block the dumper (the one who broke it off), just leave your account as it is and leave the dumper too it... It looks petty, childish, pathetic and.. "you did this to me.. I'll teach you..." spit dummy out... The dumper will learn their mistake in time.. but once it gets to 9 months and especially a year of no contact from the dumper.. they've probably moved on.. but by then.. You should have too.. Just to share, no contact period to me personally is supposed to regroup, recoup, recover and make yourself mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually stable again, so that once you know you are truly ready (you can always add an extra day to confirm) before you approach your ex. You need to ask yourself if you can stay calm, composed, unaffected and positive if your ex 1) ignores 2) rejects 3) reconcile with you. The key objective is be very sure that you're steady as a rock regardless the outcome. Hope this helps. And one more thing, you're gonna be fine.

💯 true in my case. He dumped me in 2022. I had cried,begged,pleaded but all in vain. He sternly warned me not to interfere in his future new relationship. I was totally drained and dry. Then I found your videos, stopped connecting with him, lived my own life. After 14 months he told my sister that he had made mistakes. He tried to call me all the time but I went totally silent. Then 1 month ago he came at my place and apologized. I appreciate that but I told him to forget about me and live his new life peacefully with his rebound or karmic partner and advised him gently not to cheat anyone again like he did to me. He's reached out through instagram via DM and a public compliment on my post during no contact with kind words. I say thank you and a like, but nothing else. This has been in the since no contact April 30th. He said he needed space and I had broken his trust. There is nothing I can do except wait. It causes so much anxiety and grief when he reaches out. @maxsheerin8219 I doubt. All this relationship advice is just to make you stay away from their life completely. If they come back is because they liked you, not because something you did. In my 25 years of dating, I've had 3 LTR and some relationships that didn't grow as I expected. Only 2 came back. One was constantly breaking up with me when his ex returned and dating me when he and his ex broke up. Unhealthy. I was very young so I allowed this. I made everything these coaches say we shouldn't. I cried, begged and all. ONLY after one year, after he and his ex finally broke up and he had no one else to turn to he came to me. By that time I was happy with someone else (oh, so it works. No. I wasn't faking it, and a whole year of pain had gone). I was finally free from tears. But me and this ex had a past. We got back together and I broke up because he was abusive and my attraction for him fell. The other one who came back was that guy I dated before going back again with this ex again. After 20 years he contacted me again. He wanted sex. I know he always liked me, but it was sex. After that, I had 2 other LTR and now this short one. With the LTR I didn't call, beg, plead, I showed my best side even though I was distraught. With the one I tried to stay friends with because I liked him but things weren't working, same thing. They never came back. They moved on. They started new relationships shortly after, and yes, it was not just a rebound. This new short TR, we broke up 3 times. First I acted cool. He reached out with hey texts, but nothing. Then I had to pursue him...we hooked up. Then he left. I had to pursue him. Nothing. I went on with my life. Nothing. He sees me happy. Nothing. While that, he met this new girl. They're "just best friends" now. He completely ignores me. I cried, asked him about her, he reassured me it's just a friendship (it's not, it's the first stage 12:41, she knows how to get him and she will get him). He feels sorry for me, so he apologized for hurting me and moved on completely. It's been almost one year of this insanity. No. If they don't have feelings, forget it. It's horrible. And no. It isn't true that someone else will come along. Unless you're in your 20s-35. after that...chances are slimmer to none. My case. Your comment has 6 months. Did you get her back? I doubt.

Yasmine Adib I was begging too and was saying that I was making changes but to no avail and then I followed coach Lee’s advice of no contact and was them that reached out to me because they missed me. We hung out and slowly we rekindled our relationship. It is better this time around because like coach Lee said in the video that they know what it’s like to be without you and will think twice before they break up . So my advice to you is to leave them alone and give them the break up like he says. It worked for me.

Dude Coach Lee I have to say that you are truly amazing. I am going through a breakup where I’m still living with my ex. It’s been two months and he moves out the end of next week. Our lease is up in a couple of months and it’s been hell. It was an amicable breakup but it’s been a rollercoaster. Having broken up during quarantine and not being able to see each other for while, I feel she may have, as you said, gotten used to being without me. I felt that the relationship was great, however, I feel that she was really stressed due to school and with me being of an anxious attachment and not being able to see her sort of smothered her. Yes Everyone's relationship "is different" But if there's one commonality it's being able to choose distance over disrespect. Once you choose distance, if that makes you the dumper, well, so be it. Here's the tricky part: Disrespect is subjective. Some couples cuss each other out, and so that's their baseline. Others may not, and so if he/she calls you a name, well, that's disrespect. Point is, look at your relationship. What was your baseline. Determine what's considered disrespect. Once you make that determination, address it. Make it clear. Draw that line. If that line is breached again. You (and they) should know what time it is.. Time to move on. Now, let's address the whole "No Contact" theory/tactic/approach, or whatever you want to call it. Truly dig deep and ask yourself whether 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, will ACTUALLY cause this person to be desirable to you again. Truly ask yourself.

​@@yswen828 I have experience with an avoidant. 15 years in fact. best advice I can give to you, is when some coach says a number, like 3 months...always double that number with an avoidant. also, avoidants need to feel safe and secure. emotions do eventually catch up with them, it just takes longer. but, here's a hard truth...you can easily waste so much of your life, trying to please them, chasing them, trying to always maintain that reassuring safe and secure place. it can exhaust you, isolate you, keep you from pursuing your dreams...be real careful when making the decision about trying to get an avoidant back, once you know for sure that they have this attachment style. or you will end up like me.

It’s a huge stab to the face. My self esteem was doing well until i saw that on her social media. Don’t look at their social media, stay aeay from social media for a couple of months.

This is so true! I had a girlfriend that we lasted about a year and a half. I don't like telling you this opinion, but I believe when they say they need to 'work on themselves' or 'find out who they are', it's only to make them appear like they are lost and need time. I want to win her back now that we’re no longer in high school. This is my middle school crush. She was in all these rebound relationships in high school. I want to get her back now that it actually means something more than it did when we were in the same lunch period in our senior year. Coach Lee, I'd like you to do a video on ex's who listen to their single friends and tell them to break up with you because its convenient for them. Once they listen and take their friends advice there's no way they are going to go against their friends and come back to you because their friends are more important than you and if they go against their friends advice then they potentially lose that friendship with them. My ex is easily swayyed and influenced by other peoples advice and opinion and thats most of the problem in not being able to get your ex back in my situation. Unless they are willing to go against their friends/family advice and get back together with you then you don't stand a chance. As they say you not only have to have the ex on side but also their friends who may be jealous because they don't always have the best intentions and can ruin relationships.

I had been dating a few girls after the break up and just did my thing after the pandemic was all over! Now I have a girlfriend and we’re looking at moving out! My biggest suggestion is to work on the things that matter to you and you only. What had you wanted to do that you couldn’t have done? The kids I’d say are priority as I imagine they are your world! But the key take away is just do something that makes you uncomfortable, don’t overthink what it is. Go too a boxing class, go for a hike with an old friend or colleague… this is your biggest opportunity to have time for yourself, make most of it! I know it feels like you’ve lost part of your identity with the loss of your relationship but texting and calling isn’t the way forward to find someone better and be a better person! DO NOT USE TINDER! I went there and it was just the worse, I even got off all my other socials expect for KZbin and Instagram I go on every now and then! You sound like a really attentive individual and have a big heart! You will be fine!

I do believe that there were issues with communication and spending quality time together that pushed her away. Calling and texting won't work. Coach Lee, it would be super helpful to have a more detailed video on when the ex starts to reach out but then goes hot and cold - he text, then not...l know you have this covered in the breakup kit, but it would be great to have a more" encouraging" video to stay strong, calm and "wait it out" until the person is more sure. This limbo phase is super hard and frustrating, when they dont clearly say they want back, but it is going sooo slow...and its important to get this phase right to improve the chances of getting back together
