your vids really help me out, man, since i'm a "suburban rapper" and don't live in a "rap community" or something like that. So thank you for teaching us fellow rappers all this nice stuff, and keep up the good work!

step 2 is the most important step in my opinion.. this and knowing what you REALLY like.. I see too many people not having their own opinion and absorbing other opinions on ''what´s hot right now''.. free thinking is crucial as an artist !

Master MC RULE #720: Both. Great song lyrics can come even without music/beats. The key is to go back, and sync your flow/cadence/delivery to the beat. Good examples of flow-to-beat sync: Jay-Z, Wale, Biggie, Snoop, Eminem...and the likes. I don't care who you are OR, who your TOP 5 are--they ALL know how to RIDE A BEAT!! Unless of course your TOP 5 are: Base God(who ACTUALLY CAN RAP, but became famous "spoof rappin"*), Ugly God, Soulja Boy, Slim Jesus and Chief Keef. Have fun and play with different rhyme patterns and schemes--it only makes you better and gives you the flexibility to rap over any style of production. Took me years to get NICE to the point of people complimenting me, liking both my written and off the top bars, and asking me when I was commercially release my music. Be patient young Jedi. 50% of the battle is not being afraid to make a fool of yourself TO YOURSELF, until you're DOPE ENOUGH to at least rank wit the some of your fave rappers(who are possibly already PLATINUM*). Its not easy, however neither is getting a 6 pack, let alone an 8 pack, nor is making a 1/4 mil a year in your spare time either. Practice makes perfect. Study, display, and repeat. Simple, when you thhink about Peace family!!!
@rockalot18 жыл бұрын
OK good advice bro, for me though I think it's important to become adaptable to any beat that's what makes a great artist someone who's flexible.

It's some songs out there that everyone knows the lyrics to and when people hear it they love to recite it. It's stays in your head, how do you write raps like that? Like for example I use to like to perform Lloyd banks victory verse, of course Biggie

@u4ea7738 жыл бұрын
my last few were 3am and my darling, and I can come up with my own lyrics and rap them in that style and with those instumentals, but I already know that if I do that I'll be an 'shady copy' which sucks, because my mind thinks stupid things that I can turn into something else, but I'd just look like a copy. do you have a video to fix this or can you make one? thanks
