Hey, great ideas! My motivation to get-'er-done. Makes me think of another idea to speed things up, a pack of night lights to setup at several outlets should speed things up I'm a handy man and have done this for other homes, but not for myself yet. For some people, including my parents, I even made an accurate map of every room in with images of each outlet, light and major appliance. A bit overkill, but very useful when needed.

I;m making a book that stays with the service panel. In that book Is labeled floor one through 5. That way If I need the power off on the third floor I go to the third floor page and search for the right circuit. Things like microwaves get moved around through the years. It’s better to label recepticles north east west south. I have made notes on all the junction boxes to. DON’T BARRY JUNCTION BOXES. ITS A SLIPPERY SLOPE IF YOU DO. BY NOT IT PAYS OFF 20 YEARS OR SO DOWN THE ROAD.
