I think the bigger problem there is you shouldn't lie and say you want to be Friends With Benefits, when you don't actually want that. If you genuinely want to be Friends With Benefits with someone, you're probably not doing it with someone you think has long term potential. There's no downside, as long as you are both on the same page and not lying about it.

This all goes back to the notion that character and values, in a person, are paramount; something you have to wait for and observe over time. Many women won't like Steve's advice, even if it's in their best interest, because it won't get them what they want, which is attention now, affection now, pleasure now. So they will tell a guy exactly what they want because they want him to give it to them. They are not invested in the idea of wanting depth of character or having it themselves. It's endemic. Steve's advice will only work for those who value something deeper than shallow, immediate or quick gratification. Some might say or think they are but aren't. This is for the ones who do value more or have been waiting for someone to come along and tell them that there's something more. Great advice.
@Shewas-kathybates6 жыл бұрын
rembeadgc how do you know what many women think
@rembeadgc6 жыл бұрын
Well, having never met you, but based simply on your question, I believe I'm getting some idea of what you think right now. If you say or do more I'll have an even better idea. If you know or have had experiences in your life with men, I would imagine that you too might know something about what "many" men think. Do you disagree?
@rembeadgc6 жыл бұрын
I would like to add also that many women, perhaps the majority, based on my observation, just aren't aware of fundamental differences between men and women when it comes to things like sex, desire and commitment. No one is born knowing these things. I think Steve recognizes this and is trying to help many women avoid unnecessary hurt. When these things are known by women, it also helps men to be more conscientious and accountable. If it hasn't been taught through experiences with fathers and other male relatives and friends or other women who know, how is it then passed on to a young woman who thinks that a guy who is attracted to her is operating under the same motivation with the same intentions that she has? Often she may not fully know, appreciate or understand what is motivating him and to what degree, or how it should be approached without demonizing him. I think this is how many women get turned off through their interactions with certain men and then transfer that to men in general. Enough bad relationships while operating under bad information based on missed understandings are certainly enough to scar anyone's heart. God help those who know no better that to constantly submit themselves to it.
@Shewas-kathybates6 жыл бұрын
As a woman I like his advice and I haven’t seen one woman in the comment section yet say they disliked it, or didn’t want to hear it bc it “wouldn’t get them what they wanted” Where are these “most women” that’s all I mean to say. Have I formed some sort of opinion about most men? Yes and no. It’s my opinion and it’s relative
@rembeadgc6 жыл бұрын
I understand what you are saying and appreciate your sharing it. I didn't say said "most women" though. I did say "many", which, to me, simply means a number that isn't insignificant. I do hope that "most" women take Steve's advice. I'm glad you like it. I love it! Spread the knowledge!

I'd like to add 3 things to Uncle Steve's teachings. ;-) 1) Work on yourself. Look in the mirror, meditate, pray, see a counselor, ask a couple of friends who only want the best for you to be brutally (but lovingly) honest and have them be the mirror to tell you what you need to work on, 2) Know your self-worth and DO NOT settle. I don't care if you're lonely, need a/any man to provide for you, or he's so fine you have to have him, and 3) DO NOT rush it. Take your time and make sure. I am speaking from experience, thinking I'd found my soul mate, moved in together, split up, all within a matter of months. Don't make long-term plans or commitments until way down the line. Watch him (and yourself) to make you both reach the bar set for a healthy, long-term relationship. Save yourself the heartache that's mostly avoidable. Good luck! It's hard out there!

Lesson learned , I did the exact .thing my ex played with my heart strings to get what he wanted. Ladies set standards and boundaries with these men don't play with them . Remember you are the prize. 🙂

Yes!!! Great advice, simple yet profound. I didn’t get good advice from my parents growing up. The only advice I got was to make sure you marry someone who is Christian, and make sure he loves his mother. So guess the first person I choose is a Christian mamas boy who turned out to have the WORST character ever! I don’t want to blame my parents for my choices but now I feel like I’m just learning these valuable lessons in my 30s 🙄 I will take this advice, because it’s actually practical ❤️ Thank you!! Going to keep watching 🙏🏻💋

even thought steve's past is shady he really got me thinking right here. Women need to see what that man will do ON HIS OWN and if his natural way of doing things floats your boat then you're going places... and if not then move on to the next one until you find a match.
@darwin0475 жыл бұрын
Who has a past that isn't shady? Take good advice if the advice is good. Every person that gives good advice has a shady past.
@julianacheriza15753 жыл бұрын
That’s why when they ask you what you’re looking for in a man you said you were looking for somebody real because that could mean anything depending on how they naturally are
