Suitable filtered eyewear and toxic fume filters . The ultra high temperatures that vapourise metal oxides (rust etc) will be producing toxic nitrogen oxides and many other compounds that only combine at elevated temperatures

No hot, working temperature around 40 Celsius. And the metal surface will not exceed 70-80 Celsius. Except all metal materials, other projects such as stones, ceramics, etc. All can be clean. But don't recommend to clean rubber, glass, plastic and other flammable/high temperature resistant objects.

Slow down on your passes. Wear protective masks for fumes as it it very dangerous to breath those vapors. The object doesn’t get hot as the labor reacts only on the rust. This is based on the machines settings.
