Thanks for the final tip Mike! I was wondering how you dialed in the settings, figuring that you didn't start with a brand new functional set of air pod pros. The old adage, "You have to spend some money to make some money" definitely applies here.

I loved the final tip about going on eBay for an apple case to practice on….

Is there any chance you could do a video on how you started and what equipment you used in the beginning? It would be a great help to beginners. If you have already done that, please let us know.

Thanks for sharing. When you're doing something like this do you request a certain number of units for spoil? Or are you guaranteeing your customer 100% success?
@LaserEngraving9119 ай бұрын
Yes and yes, when working on high value items like this I guarantee 100% accuracy, when I am working on example machine parts in the 500-1000 range, I do my best to offer 100% accuracy with no mistakes, but my customers will usually tolerate 1 or 2 blemishes, if that happens. I always do my best to deliver 100%

Amazing! How have you figured out how to set your machine to engrave those cases? (power, speed, carving angle and so on...)

Just a thought- Why not use original box as your Jig?
@LaserEngraving9118 ай бұрын
thought of that, but too much wiggle, in the packaging mould and variance, not repeatable.

You have an Epilog 120 Watt correct? I have a 2015 Epilog Fusion 120 Watt, and I'm having zero success getting decent and realistic black & white photos using black paint on white tile. Do you have any videos on photos on painted tiles? Settings? I enjoy your videos. Good job...
@LaserEngraving91111 ай бұрын
Thank You! for that! And regarding your questions, here is what I like to do with my Epilog 120 Fusion, First I try to get he highest quality photo I can, to start with, if its low quality I run it though photoshop to upscale and clean up and get it at 400dpi, Then after I have the photo upscaled and at 400dpi I save that jpeg and load it into IMAGE-R www.imag-r.com/ I use this software to process the photo for me then save it as as Bitmap file, and then I use that file to load into the Epilog laser, make sure your engraving at the same DPI on your Epilog as the photo. Hope that helps.

Hi, This is perhaps a little bit of a left field question. Is it possible to give MDF a wood-effect grain? Perhaps like a pseudo wood veneer? I’m thinking about the possible finish on a loudspeaker cabinet. Thanks
@LaserEngraving91111 ай бұрын
Of course you could but you must know that MDF does not engrave dark, but rather the same color as the wood itself, you could try defocusing to get contrast though, its always worth a go!

What is the best parameter for 30w?

Oh infesting. I have a 60W CO2 laser but assume that’s useless on plastic. I only knew about fiber lasers for marking metals but this opens up a whole new set of applications. Is 50w pulsed fiber better than 20 or 30w MOPA?
@LaserEngraving91111 ай бұрын
Thanks! for commenting! To your questions, its not that 50watt is better, you can still do this with the other wattages you mentioned, but when you have 50watts you can go faster! and Time is money :) in this business.

What kind of customer was this? Looks great, but im very surprised they were willing to do this to brand new products. Very surprised they were willing to void the warranty
