How-to: Latch up a dropped stitch

I accidentally dropped a stitch before my toe. I replaced the ribber needles with cylinder needles, removed my ribber, and didn't notice that one of my new cylinder needles was CLOSED. Thus, the dropped stitch.
It was a rib stitch which means Incan latch it up on the inside of the cylinder, instead of between the cylinder wall and the outside of the sock.

Great thanks! really clear! What I'm really looking for is a simple way to transfer a purl into a knit (or vice versa) for decorative effect outside the sock!

Yes, I'd like to see a dropped knit stitch video too. I'm also a hand knitter and carry a crochet hook in every knitting project bag. Never ever thought about a latch hook tool. Interesting. Will have to try it. Thx
