Bro, heat is the biggest killer of clutches, doing this barely adds any additional wear to the clutch. Seriously, clutches are made for this, what he's doing in this video won't generate enough heat to damage it. If clutches couldn't handle this, then people would be getting a new clutch every hill start.

@@Gobbbbbthis is true. I think the damage would come further down the drivetrain. My buddy bent his axle by sidestepping the clutch. Technically the slower you let the clutch out, the quicker it wears as it continues to slip and heat up until you either fully depress or release it. This is of course scales with rpm so newer drivers who rev the car up to 4K and then barely let out the clutch in fear of stalling are really cooking that friction material.

when lifting your right foot off the gas try to keep contact with the pedal instead of lifting completly off. ALSO when shifting to the next gear if your experienced enough as you are shifting and letting off the gas dont push in the clutch until u are in the neutral position then proceed to the next gear. this will not work in a hydro transmission only cable

In turbo cars its better to slip on launch, not dump. When slipping it helps build boost faster for when you're on the power. In NA either of these is fine.

and this is why manual car shouldn't be sold to americans. when the car isn't moving, if u simply release fast the clutch it will "jump" a bit before giving traction. It is normal, simply it is not the technique to launch a car. First of all, when the car is not moving you have to release a bit the clutch, at one point you should notice that car start moving, notice that the gear is not fully connected, you have only to find this sweet spot. once you fin this spot, you breake to not let the car move (NOTICE: you have to release the clutch such that the rpm are about 200 lower than the ones when the clutch is fully pressed, if u release to much the clutch under breaking u can wear it ). so now you have the left foot that are releasing a bit the clutch and the toe of the right foot on the brake, at this point you have to use the hell of the right foot to accelerate and gain more rpm (don't worry, you are still breaking but you are not putting so much stress on the clutch if u found how much released the clutch as i said). at this time you can start whenever you want, for example if are waiting for the green light on one race. in the end to start you have simply to release the brake and the clutch and accelerate (simultaneusly). NOTICE 2: to know how much rpm you need to launch the car you have to do some test and see how they drop when you actually go, and you have to make sure that when they drop as u start they don't go under the operating revs. AH DON'T FOLLW THIS RETARDERE IS CLEARLY A ROOKIE

I do about 1500, otherwise it spins and I can break traction if I floor it anytime in first gear, somewhat in 2nd as well. Shifting first to second I have to let the engine spin down for a second or burn up the clutch, popping it results in a burnout at thirty miles an hour.
