Today I teach you how to launch an automatic car without launch control. I have a 5.7L Hemi powered Dodge Challenger R/T without the added launch control feature. This is a manual method on how to properly launch your car the right way and get a faster 0-60 time or to better your chances in a race. With this method, I was able to get my 5.7L 0-60 to its best time ever. Give this method a try if you'd like to get your car off the line a lot quicker!

Hey sport mode with traction control on. Set to manual, my fastest was 3.5 after that I got a 4.4 promise. Just try and get right up to 6-6,500. You can feel the pull when you get a perfect shift.

Automatic with sport mode is slower than manual features I promise!! It will push to high rpm in automatic and take longer to shift. Manual can be fast and easy when at 6,500 on the shifts. 3000 rpm on the rev max.

I’m watching all the videos I can bc my first drag race is coming up in august. I keep hearing 2 different things - holding down RPMs and then stabbing it vs NOT doing that because you could lose time and damage tranny. Then there’s turning off traction control vs keeping it on. Thanks for watching and sorry for the late reply as I’m dealing with an injury to my dominant arm! With your corvette it may be slightly different as your car is lighter and has a stronger engine. I was always told to hold the break and slowly accelerate to around 2500 rpm then launch so you won’t lose traction. Hope that helps!

Best I can get is 5.2 but I have a 350lb box in my trunk with 2 12s and 22 inch rims. I'm running 275s all around so that helps but still get some spin. I'm planning on a 3.09 LSD and some 18s in the rear with drag radials to start the performance mods
