This works on any version btw Hey all, Thanks for your patience! Sorry it took a while, I’ve been getting my ass HANDED to me by a fields, waves, and optics class and don’t have much time! Also, speaking of waves, sorry about the reverb in the second half. My new apartment has vinyl flooring and it makes me sound like the announcer guy from the start of Portal 2. I am working on soundproofing it, but it’s a gradual process.

This is immensely helpful. with this I can do a 100% no fast travel challenge and get the pesky depths areas near hyrule castle.

Thank you so much! I'm playing the game without the paraglider, and this is absolutely going to help me travel, especially now that I know that you can deploy a wing after the launch!

Great tutorial! It’s such an honor to be part of this community :) Regarding the lag stop, my hypothesis is that Link’s physics state changes in different situations. Because these modes have different maximum vector, it forces link to stop when hitting that limit. For example, moving and jumping have much higher limit than standing. Also, vertical and horizontal limits are different. This is indirectly proven by the patents that Nintendo released this year, mainly about different character physic settings in different situations.

You have a skill for presenting information, my friend! I attempted a few recalls after I first saw your mach1.6 vid, couldn't make it work. Looking forward to trying again! And THANK YOU for your contribution to this community ❤️❤️❤️

This explains so much! I encountered snap polarity problems a lot while trying this glitch and got inconsistent results. Thanks!
@paradox_guardian Жыл бұрын
Glad to help. A lot of people were being held back by snap polarity and I wanted to address it. Without that knowledge, this trick appears to be only 50% consistent!

Thanks! Had been trying to employ the portapot for this (from another YT video), but while it makes a decent launch when successful, it's way too finicky (glue breaks often, not sure if it's the orientation or something else). The battery is amazing, and easy! Launched to the top limit of the skybox (not from elevation 0, granted)

I have 1 question could you try to recalö launch horizontal and keep the momentum with arrow smuggling?

Banger as always 🔥🔥 Edit: Does this work in all versions of TOTK?

Yeah afaik. It isn’t really a glitch so much as an interesting use of intended mechanics.

Great vid, but question. is there a horizontal limit if you are thrown backwards or facing backwards when launching?

is this also dependent on fps? because im running this at 60fps on emulator and my launches are really really short

As I mentioned at the start, this video was intended for a total beginner. I’m glad you know what you are doing, but my goal for this was to talk it through slowly and clearly so that anyone can understand it. Part 2 will hopefully go into some more advanced stuff so maybe that will be more to your liking

I appreciate it :) I also realized that this video was kinda born from many people asking for help and having specific issues so I really wanted to spell it out carefully for everyone. I think I underestimated some people’s prior knowledge and handheld a bit much 😅

Up until now, “pick up a fan, attach a plank and recall” was all that I had told people. And I got complaints left and right that it wasn’t working. It was clear that many people needed the extra details, and many others are interested in the physics behind the trick. That’s what the purpose of this video is. Believe me, I am not in the business of padding out video length. This took me many hours of work to finish. Yt is a hobby, not a job for me.
