How to layer supersaws and make them sound full Future Bass (Illenium, Nurko style)

What's up! In this video, I talk about how to layer your supersaws and make them sound full!
Note: I messed up on my last video since the main saw was soloed only playing the part b and not the part a in Sylenth (LOLOL!) so I decided to remake this video to get the entire sound right compared to last time! In addition, I've also made some changes to the sound. I.E. adding more processing to the main gritty bass and a bit of a different EQ.
Overall, the processing for the stacks could get a bit more complicated if you wanted a more specific sound but, nonetheless, this video gives you the basic foundation on how to layer your supersaws!
Also, one last note is my sub bass may be a bit lacking based a reference track on one of Nurko's drop (I think it was Breathe without). I don't have the plugins but R-bass from waves can def help with boosting your sub bass.

could layers be in the same freq range cuz i saw illenium have a supersaw and others saw is distorted and an octave higher than the supersaw keep up the work really love your content

This was a rather old video but yes, layers can be same octave depending on the context of your track. Nurko does a diff style of layering compared to illenium but it’s the same idea. in some of his tracks tracks, he just has two saw layers in the same octave. You just have to make sure the saws are doing different things and are eqed properly. I.E. if it’s the same octave, one saw layer might be more detuned than the other. One might have a stereo image to widen the freq spectrum. Another one might be used for more body for example. That’s what Illenium is essentially doing with his multiple layers! His omnisphsre patch radiotone Melodie’s layer for example is covering the 1k range, then he has his main saw that’s kind of panned but the same octave as radiotones then the distorted higher one you mentioned, etc. essentially, all those different sounds cover the whole freq spectrum, to make that pleasing to listen to full sounding drop, hope that helps and thanks for the watching! How much db you set for the kick, bass, saws, lead, and vocal?

There is no set limit. I usually just set my dbs differently per track so it sounds well-balanced in context of all the layers.
