Passing is easily the biggest thing I struggle with (well apart from defending but that's another story). Usually I lead the receivers too much or throw right into traffic, and I throw a pick six every game. This definitely showed where I can improve upon things, thanks for the video!

I've been struggling so much with the passing this year, I constantly am throwing 3 or 4 picks a game. The back shoulder throw was something I have not been able to do whatsoever but thanks to this video I understand why that is. I've been trying to do it in a loose coverage them being more manned up would be the best time for that. I appreciate the tips and you showing multiple throws and how the pass reacts to how you're holding the left stick. The crossing routes are another one I struggle with a ton of because I tend to just lead it whatever direction the player is running. Now I'll try and hold the left stick down to have them come to the ball. Much appreciated!

For those who are wondering, the Revamped Passing setting is the same as the Placement + Accuracy setting, except with Revamped passing you have more control on the arc of the pass. The longer you hold down the receiver button, the more of a bullet the pass is. You can throw a medium arc pass by only letting that meter fill halfway up.

@@adamseidel9780press L2 for more precision and I’m not sure if it works on the run bc of the cut mechanic is L2 + R2 (same as trying to precision pass on the run). Placement and accuracy MIGHT be better for the really really high skilled players but for 99 percent of us it’s revamped

What was helpful for me was realizing that how far you move the stick in each direction influences how far the receiver is led similar to the pass meter-how long you hold the button before releasing

When you are holding up down left or right when throwing your QB is not moving that way. My QB moves because thats what the left joystick is used for. So when do you actually press the left joystick a certain way? After pressing the receiver button? Same time as the receiver button? Just before pressing the receiver button? Not clear on that.

Something you should have highlighted was holding the left stick up and outside, which allows you to float a lob to where only your receiver can get to it.

Yes, same time as you press the button (or even a little after I think). Once you start pressing the button, it appears to stop controlling the movement of your player and instead controlling the ball placement

@@godsarmy8813 I highly recommend checking out some slider adjustments in the settings. It has made the gameplay much more realistic. I still take some massive L’s against the CPU but making adjustments like changing the quarters to 9mins with 15 second clock acceleration and turning down the INTs but turning up defensive pass coverage offers a challenge without having a MAC safety playing like prime Ed Reed lol.

Hold down A to stop the meter where you want then continue holding A till the arrow almost fills up but if you hold it too long and it becomes red it'll be inaccurate, even for PATs

Press and hold A or X when the cursor is on the green bar and continue to hold and let go when the arrow bar is filled. The timing is difficult and the amount of influence being off has is very unforgiving, so it’s just hard to kick in this game which I actually like because you don’t just get three free points.
