how to learn anything.

This project captures a learning process. A process of worrying, realizing, trying and letting go. Each visual cue in this video depicts the fear of moving forward in a particular skill. When learning something, we move in steps, much like turning a page in a manual to build a bookshelf or following a picture tutorial on how to put together a fireman's lego. However, in a simple tutorial, it's possible to get stuck between just the numerical steps. If we consider learning as an overall concept, rather than learning a specific skill, we find that it is possible to get stuck anywhere. Between steps that have no name, no specification. In non-existent barriers. Learning has no limits, no dimensions, no phases. One learns throughout one's life and this video serves as a "How to Learn" tutorial.
Step #1: Standing Still, shows a time when one thinks about shifting, but is physically impossible to start. We find ourselves in this stage every day, every second, all the time.
Step #2: Taking a Step, depicts the moment when one decides to begin, mainly preparation and first doubts appear.
Step #3: Holding On, embodies the time when one physically begins to engage, but at the first points one's power goes out, stemming from fear. Holding on, seems like the safest option for the person's mentality, except that paradoxically the act imprisons him.
Step #4: Letting go, depicts the final act of the person when he realizes his excessive fear and decides to eliminate it by taking a real step forward now. This has begun a learning process that will add satisfaction and motivation.
