I tried it a while back and yea, I definitely didn't stick with it since I found I wasn't learning it properly and so I ditched it. Might try it again with this.

Is is possible to anymate any character also?? I mean if there is character with 4 hands and alienic look, than is it possible to animate it in casceduer?

Yes, it's possible but you need to create the rig objects manually.

I'm really impressed by the character animations I've seen done with cascadeur, it looks like a lot of fun to learn! Do you think there are many job opportunities for animators who know how to use cascadeur?

Does anyone know, IF and HOW is it possible to parent and unparent an object during the animation? I need a character to pick up and drop off a box, and I can't make it work.

As always, its wonderful the amount of information you can give us! thank you. if i can suggest a tutorial , id love to see a more in depth tutorial about how to rig a weapon to the manequin, something like using both hands grabbing a big hammer , or switching a dagger from hand to the other hand, a bit in depth because cascadeur didnt give us any tutorial about it , and i think it could be useful. Its just a suggestion if you are running out of ideas!

Thanks :) That's a great idea. In you case do you have the weapon rigged separately from the character or is it part of the characters hierarchy? The two workflow would be slightly different, but in both case you would need constraints for that.

@@AronNemeth95 it was separatedly, but now i see cascadeur just uploaded the first part of a weapon to rig, setup series. And its really complete , covering all i needed, (in just the first part). Thank you anyways, Aron!

just a quick question about cascadeur, is it possible to have a rig squash and stretch for animation.

compared to animation in blender, what do you estimate the percentage in speed difference is when animating in cascadeur, Aron?
@HemisphereCinema
@HemisphereCinema 11 ай бұрын
Idk precentege in speed but overall it hs helped me a ton in learning to time animations and cleaning. which would take like a day for me in blender 😅

It really depends what kind of character you have, what kind of animation you want to create. With autoposing you can speed up blocking out the animation, but it's only for humanoid characters. You don't have to move each controller individually just a couple of points, but you probably want to tweak them later anyway to be more accurate. If I had to say a number I would say 2-3 times faster maximum. The other significant part is the autophysics and it can be used for custom rigs too. It helps adding secondary motion, overlap, overshoot and overall smooths the COM motion. This can be a huge timesaver if you do more acrobatic movements (jumps, flips, twists etc.). But less significant if you do simple body mechanics, like standing up or something like that.

I get tons of errorsy tons of funny magic happening with my rig etc. For all tuturials you need an older version which you cant download on its page bc it auto downloads the newest version etc. Ditched

so why you dont make a tutorial on how to do it actualy instead of just telling something that we can figure out from ourselfs wich is reading documentations and watch youtube :))) ...take that first intro scene and teach us how to do it step by step if you want to help us learn :))))
