Thank you very much for your advice and the practical tips. Although I think I am a different type of language learner and this will help me only to get some passive knowledge. For the active knowledge I know I will have to concentrate on learning the grammar and the words systematically. Because I just cannot go on with knowing I am making tons of mistakes and I have no clue why this is like this. It just stresses me and this stress blocks my ability to learn. I prefer doing small steps without stress. Still, the passive knowledge (ability to distinguish the sounds in the language, being able to write/read the words without knowing their meaning, ability to understand some spoken/written language without being able to form sentences actively) is the good first step in learning the language and it has helped me a lot with other languages in the past.

That is exactly how I feel...it kills me to not know the why, the rules of the grammar...my mind is too analytical I think...but I do appreciate her tips.

@@Mayhem2019 and Peter K, I am exactly same like you guys, i also study everything deeply because i wouldn't kind of grasp concepts if everything wasn't clear to me. But at some point, I realized that i wasn't remembering them and stressing about them all the time. So, started taking other approaches to gain the most of it in lowest time :)

What did you do exactly? How did you reach fluency in Finnish?

I focussed a lot on listening n speaking..... But, of course, fluency took time. I would say i was may be fluent after speaking Finnish full time like may be 1-1,5 years or sth (at work).

The student needs to develop his or her own individual learning system adapted to your daily routine, area of activity, rhythm of life, interests, etc. First of all, you need to understand what problems are preventing you from learning a foreign language effectively. There is a lot of good material for learning a language on the Internet, but many people don't know how to use it as effectively as possible. However, the practice of Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language" will help you structure and organize your individual language learning process, allow you to find a method of language learning that will be interesting and unencumbered. Also, subscribe to this channel, because here the author puts very useful videos on learning a language! Thank the author of the channel for the great work in the creation of training videos!
