Eruption is my go to gen regression perk. That or Call or Brine if a killer doesn’t have Eruption. But most of my killer builds involve using Eruption mixed with Nowhere to Hide. There’s a winter sale right now both Resident Evil packs are like $9 you might want to capitalize on that.

Oh man, thank you for this guide. I learnt so much. I hadn’t actually understood the movement at all as I’m new to pc so WASD is a new aspect to me. I’m consistent at hitting 90’s on easy tiles or people in the open but as my mmr is getting higher I’m realising that experienced survivors are taking advantage of my clumsily executed mechanics to make me hit corners and second guess how to use my power to get value in chase with them. The A D tech is going to be really helpful. I also can’t stress enough how relieved I was to know you hate the game map too lol. I lose every game there, I’m trying to main oni and only have around 50 hours so the amount of knowledge I gained from this video is unspeakable man. Thank you so much. If I could get any chapter it would definitely be the resident evil one for Lethal and eruption. They would help so much while I learn how to play the character at a competent level. When I play Oni, I like running a build of Superior Anatomy, Im All Ears, Corrupt Intervention, and Infectious Fright. I would say its a really good build for both optimizing his power and fun. Corrupt Intervention is good because the alternative being Lethal Pursuer, I like to just force survivors to not be able to do gens rather than cutting them off from the gens, and it works sort of like lethal because theres a high chance survivors spawn at a blocked generator, so I know where to go. Im All Ears is really good while your in Blood Fury and it has successfully secured downs, though countered by distortion and its cooldown, its just fun and gives more value to his power but not essential. Superior Anatomy is severely underrated on Oni. If you have trouble getting Blood Fury cause maybe bad map, you can get your first hit with it and they won't see it coming, and while the perk once its revealed is way less effective, that doesn't matter on Oni because its the first hit you need. It is also insanely valuable in Blood Fury, I have never actually needed it to get a hit early game yet, but I have used it many times to catch survivors off guard and secure a down in Blood Fury. I highly recommend trying it on any Oni build, because its so fun and valuable. Infectious Fright is for snowballing, which is something I really like to do, which is why I like Twins, Oni, Billy, Plague, etc. I don't really get value out of it, as you need duration add-ons for that to really be valuable and I still am only using browns, but I keep it on.

I've started off with Oni in like the past week and I'm having so much fun with him. My go to build with my limited perks (survivor main) has been lethal, no way out, pop, and forced penance. I know forced is a weird one cause people shouldn't be taking hits, but if there's a hook trade or greedy survivors it's gotten me a lot of brokens. Been using talisman and wooden oni mask. I've got a secondary build too, ultimate weapon, ruin, surveillance, and no way out. Haven't had the chance to try it out cause with ultimate being the last shrine everyone is going to rocking calm spirit. Also been using the minotaur skin cause I'm weak for some furry bait.

Very helpful thanks 👍 With the builds, I always use Corrupt Intervention instead of Lethal Pursuer. I think CI is easier to use for me. But maybe I should try to learn to use LP too 🤔 I'm just bad at having a mental map of where the survives are.

I'd highly recommend lethal because it will teach you early game patterns and I find myself following them even when not running lethal

The good thing about lethal for oni is that it let's you know where everyone is going to be for the first 40-60 secs of the game. This means you can potentially get full power by hitting two survivors, activate power and go after the other healthy survivors.

Survivors just go to edge of the map and spam crouch or just stay there until all the 100 orbs are dropped forcing you to go out of your way far away from gens to gather the orbs...

I am a dedicated Slinger Main but recently also experimented with Oni and Wesker so that video is just perfect. Would you say he is more difficult than Wesker or nah? For me the flicking is a bit tough

Wesker is easier to learn harder to master And Wesker is in my opinion a better and more consistent killer. Oni can be totally countered from the first 30 seconds by simply throwing every pallet

Lowkey wanna pick up Oni when I'm done getting all characters to P3 and just grind him out. Basically invest all my time as killer on him but he just seems so damn difficult. The whole dash aspect and flick around walls etc just seems like so much.
