Outstanding instruction. But no one will realize how impossible it is to do that event until they try it. You'll develop muscles where you never knew you had muscles. But, but, but the instructor made it look SO easy.

Excellent beginner tutorial @ringsking. Being an older athlete myself, it's great to see you still successfully performing these moves. Just bought a decent mushroom and circles are my next challenge

Very nice tutorial, but i would have enjoyed a side-view (so you could see the shoulders moving to maintain the center of gravity in the middle more clearly) . I'll definitly use this one and your other mushroom-tutorials for teaching myself and others :)

Just wanna ask if this is possible to do on floor(or paralletes), thank you
@ringsking5 жыл бұрын
Hey yes it’s possible on floor but you just have to stretch and extend your body out more. On a parallettes only if they are pretty secure to the ground somehow. Good luck!

Thanks for the video. Can you recommend a good mushroom for a 6' adult please?
@ringsking9 жыл бұрын
+Red Guitar Films hi, mushrooms can vary by height and it can be a little easier if it is higher (but people do circles on the floor so if the mushroom is a little lower you just have to extend/stretch out more). but what i think is more important is the grip on top. i personally like the basketball top looking ones because if i am off balance, it is easier to fight and stay on than some other surfaces. but all of the mushrooms from any gymnastics equipment stores are good and u should be able to learn/do circles on any of them. good luck and hope this helps some
@redguitarfilms9 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I ordered this one today. They said it has the basketball texture and will work for adults: goo.gl/JuqAa8

Hi I’m 17 years old and began to build an interest for gymnastics. Is it too late to learn? I don’t know how to start. I’m in good shape
@ringsking5 жыл бұрын
I don't believe it is too late to start new things. I only did gymnastics a little in high school and then did it more seriously for me from age 20-35 (i hit my peak at 34). You can start with some general conditioning (pull ups, handstand push ups against a wall, dips, stomach work) and stretching. I have under my playlists a Gymnastics Tutorial Playlist with a bunch of skills for beginners and up. Good luck!

I started at 58 yo, so even if youre 20 now you can still do this!

Is it possible to learn this at 45 years old? What type of strength exercise will help with this?
@ringsking2 жыл бұрын
I believe it can be possible (I am 52 and still am having fun with the sport). This is not exactly a strength type movement but more of a technical skill that can be learned with repeated practice. There will be some general strength involved with having some front support strength and some shoulder flexibility (when your legs/hips are in front of you). You can also learn this by practicing with your legs/feet in a bucket attached to a rope from the ceiling (this will get you the hang of the movement and also your hands lifting up and down and also can build up some specific strength. I think I have a video of bucket circles somewhere on my channel.) Good luck with your training!
@mshake01232 жыл бұрын
@@ringsking Thanks for response! I did see that video also. Looks like maybe I would start with that one first maybe. I will see how it goes. I made a joke onetime to family that I could learn pommel horse in an hour. I know that’s ridiculous but I wanna surprise them all one day and be able to do it. Haha

Will this help flares for bboy?
@ringsking6 жыл бұрын
In gymnastics we usually teach circles first and when they can d 20 circles in a row on mushroom we teach flairs. In my opinion they help but you can learn a flair before a circle

I'm doing this to learn how to flare. 😅

@ringsking8 жыл бұрын
Are you able to do the quarter circle ok? On the 3/4 circle are you leaning over the other way enough and keeping your body pretty straight? Are you doing the begnning part ok where you step to the opposite side and then snap your feet together and they stay together going into the circle? Another way to help learn circles on a mushroom is to attach a rope from the ceiling to a bucket and put your feet in it as you do circles a little more slowly to help understand the movement and picking up your hands
@canolol59347 жыл бұрын
it help me do 36 mushroom thincks but you learn how to do circle the wrong way
@ringsking7 жыл бұрын
My old coach Mike Dubois from California (Fresno Gym World) showed me this method 25 or so years ago and I like using it to teach, but there are always more than 1 way to learn things. Glad it could be of help and good luck with your training!
