Great video! I’ve been stuck on a half and have no idea how to twist all the way? Any tips for the trampoline?
@ringsking7 жыл бұрын
Thank you! What helped me go from a half to a full (and I learned it on tramp first, then took it to tumbletrack and then floor), is for a half I would bring my arms down straight and with hands open over to one side and for a full I would make fists and bend my arms and bring them over to one side. Another thing that helped was thinking about turning my opposite hip in (towards the twisting direction) and making sure I was hollow/back rounded. A drill you can also do on tramp is to have a cheese mat behind you and after you land your half on your feet facing the cheese, do a half turn to back right away. Good luck with your training!

I REALLY NEED HELP WITH MY HALF TWIST
@ringsking7 жыл бұрын
There are a few different ways to twist and this is the way I learned. You can also try doing a later twist by doing a layout on trampoline and when you see the floor near the end, try and twist. Also it is hard to twist archy, so you want to arch in your hips in the takeoff and then try and hit a hollow body position as your toes come up/scoop through and you can think about driving your shoulder towards the floor. Good luck and feel to ask other questions!

Me not knowing how to do any of this but a girl Ik did one on a trampoline and told me how to do it so I tried and landed it my 2nd try but now I wanna make it look cleaner and twist faster so it looks cooler when I’m at trampoline parks

Mr Carl, nice drills man, again keep up the good work . I just wane to ask which direction is the ideal one for twisting if you are right handed?
@ringsking7 жыл бұрын
Hey Ishmael and thank you! It is not about which hand your write with or throw a football, it is about which foot is in front when you do a cartwheel. Twisting direction is a lengthy and complicated discussion, but I usually have students twist to the right if they step forward with their right foot on a cartwheel (and left if they do a lefty cartwheel). But people can be successful in twisting the opposite way of their cartwheel foot, but I would say in the majority of cases it is better to twist in the direction of which ever foot steps in front for a cartwheel. And as always, good luck with your training!

...and another test you can do is to to a straight jump full turn 1 way and then the other way, and see which way is easier/feels more comfortable
@charkatslife4 жыл бұрын
ringsking right, the first time I did a half I twisted to the right, then I lost my half and when I got it back I found it easier to twist to the left and now I can almost do a full so I think it rly depends on the person. Also great video!! Very helpful!

when I do my half on trampoline and can’t do it with the layout form so it just looks like I’m jumping backwards into a front tuck. Any tips ?
@ringsking4 жыл бұрын
There was s more than one way to twist and I teach it how I learned it with the twist happening more in the middle. You can do an arabian /early twist but I always had trouble that way. You can try and think about twisting after you set and when you bring your arms down to your side, keep your arms moving down straight until they get about halfway down then brings both arms over to one side with your far arm finishing a tiny bit below the other one. You can also use your opposite hip and turn that a little too (that helped me go from a half to a full). Good luck!

ringsking I’ll definitely try that tomorrow, thank you so much!
