Man, I love this guy 😂 . We really need more Pastors speaking the truth… the hard truths

The talk about leaving and cleaving needs to take place before they are engaged. Usually, either it isn't discussed at all or they wait until they get married and find out the leaving hasn't happened and in many cases, probably isn't going to.

Wow, I’m so glad that a man of God has finally given an in depth discussion on this topic. It is foundational (after the gospel, of course) and will lead many to better and stronger marriages. Thank you, Pastor Driscoll! I’m super thankful that the Lord directed me here. I’ll be tuned in for more…

Such a wonderful service today. This message made a huge impact on me, tells the story of my failed marriage - and how to not repeat that ever again.

When my husband and I got married. We never went on a honeymoon. Then a year later his mom bought us tickets to Maui for our honey moon. We had a 1 year old at this point just about. But the kicker is this… she said since she’s paying for our honeymoon she’s always wanted to go to Maui so she came with us!!!!! So it wasnt quite a real honeymoon.. can’t wait to watch this.

🎯 ❤ So good!! Pastor Mark, thank you for teaching and training what some call “generational curse breakers”. It is rare for this information to be shared in a church setting but is so important for the times we are living in. I am a cutoff and my ex is enmeshed with his family. He declared them as his family but not his own wife and son. I have spent the last seven years learning about enmeshment in families. It has been difficult but I am hopeful that I can make a difference for my son’s future as a “new family”.

Awesome sermon. Thank you for using the KJV bible. A lot of Pastors usually use ESV or the NIV and it drives me insane. Keep up the good work Pastor Mark!
@daleneb2411 ай бұрын
Nothing wrong with the KJV but we use the ESV and the NIV because it is easier to understand for us. If you can’t understand it then you get nothing out of it.
@coolbabe45911 ай бұрын
@@daleneb24 I would highly suggest reading the KJV after you've read the ESV/NIV. Those translations leave out verses and words. The other reason I can think of as to why you can't understand the KJV is that maybe you're not ready to learn that part of the bible yet. God will show you what it means when you're ready to learn it. He did that with me. There were parts of the KJV I didn't understand but later reading again I had that, 'ah ha' moment. Godspeed.

@@coolbabe459It’s not right to criticize someone because of the “version” of scripture they read. I could just as easily say, you need to read the Geneva version of scripture which contains more than the KJV. It’s ok to only want to use the King James Version, but don’t think for one second that the Holy Spirit won’t be able to guide a person into truth just because they are reading a different version of scripture.

What I notice from the families around me that get this wrong is that (almost universally) the issue with leaving lies with the wife, almost to the point where the husband becomes secondary. Wife marries a man but someone in her family often holds a higher position of authority and respect than her husband. The couple spends a lot of time with "her family," even if the husband doesn't want to. Time with his extended family is spent begrudgingly. On further observation you'll see that the things that the woman would disagree with the husband about wont be a disagreement with a male member of "her family." Its usually her "daddy" (grown women using that term drives me nuts). It might be her brother. It might be her grandfather. If her husband tries to show leadership and step into that spot at best he'll get resistance and resentment. This is why I wish churches preached more AT women than they do. If they resist biblical teaching from their husband they need to hear the truth from a 3rd party male that they respect. Certainly this applies to men as well, the difference being that nobody stand's in defense of a mamma's boy. The whole world loves a daddy's girl. The bond needs to be broken, not celebrated.

We attended service today and it was amazing! My husband actually enjoyed it, which for me says something. We do have question though, did Pastor Mark say he had mai tais Hawaii? Just wondering his view on alcoholism.
@abundantangel6376 Жыл бұрын
How do you go from enjoying a drink on the beach to alcoholism? The original Christians did partake in wine at celebrations and such. I’m not sure it’s a sin until it crosses the line into drunkenness. That’s my understanding as of now.
@kristinkrohn1710 Жыл бұрын
@@abundantangel6376 as a former alcoholic I see what works for me is complete sobriety and to hear he drinks was a shock to me and my unsaved spouse, but not like I’m never listening to him again but I would like to hear more on it..and having a drink to going into alcoholism is easy, I’m not saying anyone is an alcoholic but I was one until recently a few years ago.
@sassyanne88 Жыл бұрын
Yes he did. And if him and his wife are not an alcoholics, that's ok, Jesus drank wine. If him or his wife struggle with alcohol, then it would be wrong. I don't drink because my partner is a recovered alcoholic. For me to drink, it would be wrong but drinking is wrong as a whole.

@@sassyanne88 I don’t think I’ve heard a pastor preach and then Say he did that lol it was just something new to me.. I understood the context and that’s why I’m not bashing. @A_Pie323 Жыл бұрын
Drinking is not wrong as a whole. That is legalistic. Being DRUNK or high, is what is wrong. The action of having a glass of wine or a cocktail occasionally is NOT WRONG. Alcoholism and drunkenness IS. Jesus’s very first miracle was turning water into wine at a wedding celebration.
