👶💺 How to Lengthen Graco Extend2Fit Car Seat Straps (Straps too Short)

NOT how to tighten the straps and loosen them to secure your child (there's a button between the feet for that), but how to lengthen them to adjust for a growing child. How to loosen straps on Graco car seat. This video shows you how to lengthen the straps on the Graco Extend2Fit car seat. If the straps are too short for the Graco Extend2Fit car seat, this video shows you how to lengthen them. I couldn't find how to do this on the internet until I searched some Amazon reviews, so I thought I'd post the video to hopefully help out someone who's looking for the same thing I was. Took my wife and I about an hour to figure out how to do this. It is not intuitive.

I just installed my son's seat earlier today and I spent a good 20 minutes trying to figure out how to loosen up the straps. I Googled it and your 2:32 minute video came up with the most simple solution and/or feature ever. You can't imagine my relief once I figured it out. Thank you so very much.

Omg!!! Thank you so much for this video, and the comments. Between the lifting of the headrest and the button where the lever is between their legs (you have to stick your finger in the hole where the strap is coming out of, and push down) it was such an easy task!

THERE IS ALSO A BUTTUN IN THE CENTER OF WHERE YOUR CHILDS LEGS HANG THAT ACTUALLY LOOSENS THE STRAPS. Lifting the head rest will SLIGHTLY lengthen straps but at the cost of misplacement of the side impact cushions. Button just has to be pushed upward.

Hey, Claire. Thanks for the comment. We use the button all the time to loosen/tighten the straps when we're putting our kids in their car seats. It works great. But there came a point where the straps were too tight on the shoulder as our kids grew and it only loosens so much with the button, so we had to raise the head rest so the car seat grows with the child. Are you saying there's an alternative to this?
