How to Letter Lowercase "i"

It's been a while since our last video and today, we are continuing this series with a video on how to letter the lowercase "i".
If you have not seen the previous videos, check out my KZbin channel for the video tutorials of lowercase letters A-H.
For those of you who do not know, I'm using the lettering practice sheet from my Brush Strokes Workbook (yourcreativeadv.... And I am using the Pentel Touch brush pen, it's technically what you will call a small pen and is great for my workbook.
But before we start, I want to encourage you with this quote from Kurt Vonnegut. He said,
“We have to continually be jumping off cliffs and developing our wings on the way down.”
Learning a new skill takes a lot of courage. And this is what the quote implies. We have to continually practice and "jump off cliffs" for us to develop the skill that we are practicing. Do not be afraid to jump off that cliff because it is through that courage that you will eventually develop and improve in whatever skills your practicing.
So let's jump off the cliff and develop our brush lettering skills by learning how to letter the lowercase "i" now!

Tips for Brush Lettering
Focus on breathing and going slow. The slower you go, the better you will be able to focus on the transition between the thick and thin strokes of your letter.
One of the differences between calligraphy and handwriting is that in calligraphy you pick up your pen between each stroke.
Don’t worry about getting it perfect. You will see progress when you practice consistently even if for just a few minutes per day.
There’s no right or wrong when using modern calligraphy and brush lettering. You have the freedom to create your own style.
