The Flat-lay walkthrough was so very clear and helpful. I've been changing my T-30 3x daisy chained AIO fans to share CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT rather than all on CPU_FAN due to learning about, and having significant worries of, overloading the 1 AMP limit on fan headers, since T-30s are well above that under full draw. Then I thought, wait, I have 4 Lian Li fans connected to my hub. Is that in danger? And I wasn't sure how they were powered, as I was pretty sure it was power supply related instead, so safe. Your video here helped me clear that worry up without having to take apart my cables and trace things. And also reminded me of how much of a mess the cables are with hubs lol.

I just ordered these, two 3 packs, and finding out that i can have set speed case fans AND temp controlled aio fans on the same hub, man oh man these fans really are super functional, Also ordered the Meshify C, cannot wait till next weekend, i should have everything by then and its going tto be a breeze to rebuild with the new case and fans. Theyre very pretty as well.

Im going to give you a bit of a tip. On a pc fan, there are 2 sides. One with only the fan blades and one with the fan blades and an X or + shaped object. The side with ONLY the fan blades and no X shaped object is which way the air goes through. This applies to all fans. I am sorry if this is hard to understand, Im not great with explaining things, you can probably find a link online explaining this better.

Just wanted to say thank you. I installed the AL120 and they work amazingly! I did have to switch the position of my bottom two fans because they didn't show any RGB. I am looking into getting them connected with Corsair iCUE so I don't have to have two different RGB software.

AL controllers are not designed for SL.

Found out you can't install controller with the foam on a Lancool 3. Have to use the magnet if you're putting it in the spot made for it. makes the controller too thick, door won't close.

I dont like the new AL120's aestheticly, but I got to say Lian Li is producing quality products. Myself I use the SL120 fans in my case. And i love them. They are insanely good! Easy to install, really quiet and real good case-cooling.

Aquacomputer and its Aquasuite has been the top option for fan controller and software for longest time. They have options like splitty 4 to control corsair argb fans and farbwerk360 for the rest. Watercool been long working on one. Ekwb is completely redoing there. Corsair has always been not great.

I don’t use the hub that came with the fans. Got a phanteks evolv x and I just daisy chain them all to the built in phanteks argb lighting and control it from the front of the case. Can also be controlled with your motherboard rgb software by plugging the phanteks 3pin digital rgb in to the motherboard

The AL fans look absolutely beautiful. I'm getting a set. Important to note that Lian Li states on their website that AL fans should not be connected to the SL Uni-Hub controller.

The sl hub controller didn’t last very long for some people. The watercoolers endup using the aquacomputer fan controller with rgbx (each rgbx control 3 fans max or 90rgbx). So quadro/octo.

I have the older 140mm model, and I just skip using any of the proprietary things and just plug them into the motherboard's argb and let it handle all the RGB. It also uses openRGB when I'm on Linux too. Works well.

What is the point of adding the extra option cables into the controller? I just purchased these fans w/ controller and don't understand. My plan is to right now have 3 on top for exhaust, 3 on bottom for exhaust, plug those 2 sets into the controller, and then have 1 rear exhaust noctua (no RGB) fan that doesn't plug into the controller. Would I need to do the add the additional optional step? Thanks

just plug the noctua in the hub as well. having all your fans as exhaust is going to be a pretty bad idea

I did the lancool 3 rgb... 3 front fans are showing as 1 rgb. Then did the galahad 360 rgb.. all 3 fans plus the header are showing as 1 rgb... what am I missing here. Followed all guides and wiring schematic I found.

They came up with sl and it was amazing, but al? The least they could have done is to make the edge lighting more pronounced like the sl.

Next version mate. Remember, it’s about getting the the consumer to “upgrade” to the next model as often as possible. We the consumers are drip fed the new features - in this case first the nice edge lights, then the blade lights but with a different edge light to still differentiate them (arguably, and up to a point) from the competitors, then eventually combine SL and AL main features in a later product so that (hopefully for them) we follow this plan and buy every damn thing they produce. Apple are masters of doing this well but most innovative companies engage in it. When done well people are so excited by the product that they don’t even see or even care that it’s happening - effectively making them themselves the product.

Hey quick question. I have a Corsair aio I was wondering if I could take the Corsair fans off the aio and put these on. Since they clip together would they not line up with the screw holes? Would the screws that you mount the fans onto the radiator not fit?

Im bit confuse.... say you connect 3 regular fans to motherboard = 3 cable period. at 9:19 how many was it? 2 from unifans + the box + 2 cable out from box to motherboard / powersupply. Now, is it just me or it MORE cable mess? Can i just connect all 3 fans (in a serie) and use 1 god damn cable plugged directly to motherboard?
