How to light a gas fireplace / how to light a pilot

Tutorial on how to light a pilot and operate your gas fireplace. There are different types of gas fireplaces and gas logs but this is the most common type we come across and most others have a similar process.

Thank you for this video. The closeup of the pilot assembly helped me locate mine. Also the pilot setting and pushing in the button to purge and start the line was great. Good concise instructions; appreciate it.

Agree, holding in the pilot for a while before lighting was the key to getting it lit for me. Also make sure the knob is turned to the pilot position.
