To the people with negative comments saying her process will ruin your hair, did you actually watch the video all the way through? She recommends doing this only once a week, leaving the lemon juice in for about half an hour. Nothing wrong with that... And she washes it out right away as well. Baking soda will not damage your hair; it gets out hair product build-up and any impurities on your scalp. I do recommend she follow up with apple cider vinegar after rinsing out the baking soda though. It acts as a natural conditioner and neutralizes what the baking soda was doing. If she wanted to, she'd be able to skip using shampoo and conditioner after rinsing out the vinegar. And again, for those who are hating on this video, she said she's been doing this a few summers so far, and her hair is looking great! I can't speak for everyone though; this might not work for some people with darker hair or if your skin's sensitive to baking soda. But anyway, yeah...if she was doing this multiple times a day or once everyday, I'd be right there next to you saying how it'll ruin your hair. Once a week though is no big deal, and she **is** making sure to rehydrate her hair afterwards. The only thing in her routine I'd change other than adding apple cider vinegar to the mix would be that she use fresh squeezed lemon juice instead of the bottle she's been getting since the bottle has added ingredients. It's her hair though, and it obviously works for her, and she's happy with it, so more power to her. 👍🏻 Thanks, Heather Lou, for uploading this vid! 😊❤️ PS. Bonus: For added shine, rinse your hair with the coldest water you can tolerate for a few minutes right before coming out of your shower (or better yet, take a cold shower the whole time since cold water is healthier for your hair). It'll smooth the hair strands and make them appear healthier and shinier. 😊

It ruined my hair and it fell out. Not all at first but within 12-24 hrs. I now have pixie bangs in the front where my hair broke off and holes in the side of my head. I didn't do the baking soda, just the lemon juice and I sat in the sun for 20 mins. I washed it out and it felt like pubes (sorry) and I didn't think anything of it but I went to bed and woke up and literally half my hair was out. People can do whatever they want but be warned if you try this you may end up like me. So ya it's upsetting. I can't glue that hair back

I did this with freshly squeezed lemon juice in the ‘50s in Southern California. I did it once a week. My hair was very thick and oily at that time. If I went three days without a shampoo it just dropped oil. My mother forbid me to wash my hair once a week so I sneaked lemons out of the refrigerator. I did not use baking soda. There was no conditioner products back then. My hair remained healthy and shiny. I think you can only get away with this if your hair is very thick and oily.

I did this 4 days ago. This vid should really come with a warning because over half of my hair fell out. It didn't happen immediately but within 12-24 hours so much hair started breaking off. It feels like there are pubes in my hair and then the hair snaps, breaks. I tried doing a protein treatment to save the rest of my hair but it's no use. I now have 1cm bangs. I did about a half a cup on my hair and sat in the sun like she instructed. I know it's just hair but it's really traumatizing tk look in the mirror and see holes in your head where your hair used to be. Please be cautious when trying this at home and be warned. I know I'm an adult and this is what I get for taking advice from a YT video but please don't do this.

Baking soda works as a shampoo too...a lot of no-poo people use it...It does not damage your hair. Just dont leave it in for longer than 3 minutes (that goes the same for normal shampoo) and then condition it with apple cider vinegar and a cold water rinse after that...works just as good as conditioner!

There is so much wrong information in this video I had to comment. Baking soda does not “wash out” the lemon juice. Baking soda will make your hair feel like hay and cause damage to it. Lemon juice is water soluble so all it needs is water to rinse it out. You’re advising people to put undiluted lemon juice on their hair, which has a pH of about 2-3 (roughly the same as your stomach acid) then telling them to follow that with baking soda which has a pH of about 9. That is going to ruin peoples’ hair and you are so naive thinking that you’re helping them. Some little teenager is going to follow your bad advice and ruin her hair. You’re not a professional hairdresser, chemist or doctor so please, don’t offer advice.

Have faith in JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOR for HE SAVES ❗️ *What is the Gospel?* The true gospel is the good news that God saves sinners. Man is by nature sinful and separated from God with no hope of remedying that situation. But God, by His power, provided the means of man’s redemption in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Savior, Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 For it is by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of GOD, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. Romans 10:9 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. JESUS CHRIST can come anytime! Just Believe ❤️ Love you and GOD BLESS
