Very nice Work. I also really do appreciate that you didn't lift The engine from The intake manifold like some others seems like to do. Greets from Helsinki.

New subscriber!!This is the best video yet of how to work on a diff. Other ones just tell you to make tha gear pattern center and pinion depth but they won't tell how to actually do it. Thank you for this vid. So much helpful info in here.

Your channel should prosper very very soon. Videos are qualitative and content is rich! Love your channel. I rarely blind sub like this. Well deserved.

Thank you so much! I'm trying hard to do a good job for people, glad to see it's paying off, and thank you for watching 👍

@@ReignitedAuto I know how you feel. Believe me when I say this, you just gotta stay consistent and patient. Good things take time. Consistency is KEY. The quality to subs ratio is ridiculous. Definitely underrated. Keep them videos coming.

I thought about trying a rear diff project on my own a while back......really glad I didn't! So much more to it than I thought. Great how to video again. I think you need more Bob Ross moments in all of your videos from now on😂.

My gf just asked me if I was watching Bob Ross... Too funny!

How does it work? It just does! Nice simple explanation of installing a rear diff. I need to replace the pinion seals on both our cars so the preload info was very helpful.

Thanks for the Video, brings back memories, I installed a New Ring and Pinon along with an Eaton Posi and Capped it off with and All Aluminum Differential Support Cover in my 1993 Silverado K1500 in 2003 while I was living in Colorado, I moved to the Gulf Coast in September of 2017. I recently had to replace the Badly Rusted Backing Plates and Drum Brake System and Brake Lines completely due to the extremely harsh Salt Air environment which required me to to pull both rear axles and was able to see the eaton Posi and Gear Set again, all looking great. Looking back I should have retained the Original Gear Set as the Ratio was unchanged being that it's a 4x4 Truck. Otherwise I'm glad I made the upgrade to Posi. Randy AKA: randog311

Great vid! Now I run a 355 gear in my mustang and I think it a great all around gear. Would a 373 set up be better?
@ReignitedAuto3 жыл бұрын
I think the difference would be negligible unless you stepped up to 4:10 gears. If you like what you have I'd stick with that 👍

Was the crush sleeve used or the eliminator kit when it was finished. Good video.
@ReignitedAuto3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Dennis! I used the eliminator kit, and I'm happy I did because having to take it apart multiple times to properly set the pinion depth would require a lot of crush sleeves! Appreciate you watching 👍

Is it hard to get the C clips back onto the axles with the lsd springs in the way? I’m going to install a lsd differential carrier soon. Since I’m only changing the carrier, I’m glad I don’t have to mess with pinion gear depth, I’ll double check the backlash to be sure everything is good to go.
@ReignitedAuto3 жыл бұрын
Nope, no issue getting the c-clips back into place, I recommend just using a small telescoping magnet to slip them into place. 👍

Do always have to get new barring?
@ReignitedAuto3 жыл бұрын
Technically no, it's suggested, but you can put it back together with the original bearing if it's still good. Keep in mind though, that if you install a used bearing it changes the turning torque specs 👍
@adrenalinehigh20702 жыл бұрын
Hmmm.. did he forget to install the 2nd new pinion gear race???? Ps: never use new bearings with old bearing races because you’ll end up having weird noises as you drive. Same goes for the ring and pinion. They are matched and can expect noises if you don’t change them together cuz you got lazy, which is the same reason why people end up using old races…. Too lazy to get the old ones out
@ReignitedAuto2 жыл бұрын
Nope, all bearings and races are new. Or were at the time of this video 👍

Did you paint it black? What did you use?
@ReignitedAuto3 жыл бұрын
Yea I ended up wire wheel cleaning the whole housing, then I painted it using a Krylon black primer. 👍
