PRO TIP: you can also use locator maps to do this. Create the map in the over world where your nether portal is. Then, once in the nether, destroy the portal and go to the same spot on the map as the overworld portal is. (Using the locator map will show you your location). Then rebuild the portal there and it should link up.

I would recommend building your portals near the bedrock ceiling it’s generally safer up there and all you have to do to in the nether to go from one Portal to another is dig.
@bonbonbonbons11 ай бұрын
Disclaimer: building in the bedrock ceiling in the nether only works in Java and does not work in vanilla bedrock.

Im definately going to be doing this, but i do have a suggestion for fellow players who are scared of the netherworld like me. Instead of making the portals on the ground, do this; 1. Link your first portal (preferably at your main base) 2. Build a house around the portal with a ladder to the roof. 3. From the roof, make a pillar with stairs to the ceiling of the netherworld. 4. Make a tunnel system in the ceiling to the rest of your portal locations. 5. Make your portals in the ceiling at your other portal locations. If you set up your "portal highway" this way you'll never have to worry about suprise attacks from angry mobs in the netherworld. That way you can teleport safely and only have to fight netherworld mobs when your ready and prepared.

This is a project I've wanted to start but never had the motivation to do, your videos have significantly improved the quality of life of the server and our main base is basically a resort at this point. Thank you so much!

Dude, I think you're brilliant. You have helped me out in so many ways when it has come to this game. I appreciate it. I have only one suggestion...you have all of your subscribers because of your absolute brilliance in Bedrock Minecraft. I seriously think that you would skyrocket to one of the biggest Minecraft channels if you just slowed down a little and tried to speak more clearly. I mean this with all due respect, no hate or judgment. I dont know if there is a personal reason for it, but to me it sounds a little like your words are slurring together sometimes. When you speak clearly, you sound like Brandon Routhe, and there's nothing wrong with that lol. I just want to see you and this channel rocket up to be the biggest Minecraft channels out there because you deserve it. This is my humble opinion tho and I just want to help you if I can, like you've helped me. Respect.

The Y coordinate definitely does matter. The 1/8th rule does not apply but if u want two or more portals in close proximity, the Y coordinates really matters. I often have multiple portals on different levels of my base and corresponding portals on different levels in the nether. Also if u build a gold farm in your base and have a normal portal in the same area, you need to use the Y coordinate to seperate them. The claim that Y coordinates don't matter is a myth
@jasonheath70453 жыл бұрын
Thanks
@geleinasoriano2 жыл бұрын
So do we also divide the y coordinates by 8? Sorry I don't understand how it works :'D
@Flowersinadesert2 жыл бұрын
@@geleinasoriano you don't have divide the y coord but if you want two nearby portals to function seperately in both dimensions, the y coord is a means of discriminating between them. Two portals directly above and below each other in your base will connect to different portals in the nether if they have different y coords but the same x and z. In such an instance you would have to enter the nether and build one portal above or below the one you came through but it will then lead back to the other portal in your base

Thanks! I was trying to link up a portal to a nearby stronghold and I was struggling to get it to spit me out underground. Didn’t know if I needed to do something with the Y coordinate or just shift my entire portal in the Nether down to the overworld Y cord 💀. It’s obvious now lol, but I was still a bit lost at first If anyone else encounters this, it’s an easy fix :) just get rid of the portal it creates and build a new one at the right Y coordinate. That should hopefully link them up and have it working right

@Aaron-hv4hr3 жыл бұрын

So if I'm correct you want to connect nether portal from nether to overworld It's simple if you have logic Just multiplied by 8 like your base in nether is on X 2, Z 4 it means 2 × 8 = 16 4 × 8 = 32 So just build portal in overworld on X 16 and Z 32 Hope that helps

Ok, I ran into some trouble with this on someone else's realm. I thought I knew how to link up portals, but in this case it didn't behave the way I thought it would. I made a nether portal in my base, and when I went to the nether, I wound up in the realm's nether hub at their main portal. I went to the proper X and Z coordinates in the nether to link up to the portal at my base, and when I went through I made it back to my base, but when I went back through my base portal I was back at the hub.
@Dikwili2 жыл бұрын
Yeah this doesn’t seem to work for me either. No matter what I try, the second portal I built will always take me back to home base. I’ve linked them more times than i can counts and even broken them to rebuild. Nothing works in Bedrock for me.
@Dikwili2 жыл бұрын
I figured out my problem was an Xbox 360 world converted to bedrock edition. If you're playing a conversion like this then you're still on the old 1:3 nether ratio and not the newer 1:8 block distance. Works perfectly for me now.
