⁠thanks for you reply. Unfortunately it was no help. And I was told there is no way to reset the switch to factory reset. Hopefully the future products can come with reset button for the switch.

great video!!! Thinking about buying this BUT I’m concerned about guests using the lights and or music but possibly forgetting to turn the fan on. We’re adding a new bathroom to a basement of our 1962 house (with 7 foot ceilings) and my contractor really made the point that the fan and shower light should be on one switch so that the fan is ALWAYS running when showering

Great video. Thanks for sharing. One switch went bad and I used a switch from one bathroom and connected it to a bathroom where the switch is not working and now when I turn on the fan both bathroom fan turns on. I thought maybe turning off the circuit to one original bathroom might reset it but now when I turn it off in one bathroom the other bathroom turns on. Is there a way to reset the light switch or the fan?

A very good video worked just fine as directed. I unplugged the grill from the fan rather than find the breaker. This unit needs a constant hot, not switched. The pair code…. Drum roll please “1234” ha ha what a sense of humor.

If you have extra wires in your home that are not shown in the installation instructions, you may need to determine if that wire is for a switch on the wall or if it should be capped. I just bought and installed 3 of these and I'm seeing a failure in design that should really be taken back to the drawing board. My 3 bathrooms' fans are on the same circuit. How can I get the remotes/switches to connect to the exact fan it should? They keep pairing to the wrong one through my walls. How is there no manual pairing button directly on the unit?

Your idea worked great. 1 unit was still acting up but I eventually plugged the grill back in and immediately did the pairing, only 2 seconds delay to hit the button. That worked. Worked a lot better than the Broan "thank you come again" run around. This info needs to come in the box.

guessing the switch can only work with batteries and there isn't a 120V wired option? gonna be really annoying having to pull a plate and change batteries. not sure why that wasn't considered so you could just swap your switch out.

Hold the top light button for 5 seconds within 3 minutes of powering the unit to pair. If your unit has an electrical "humming" noise call Nutone for a replacement head piece. Repeat pairing process 😎

thanks man! i tried turning it on with the controller and it wasn’t working until you mentioned you had to hold the power button for 5 seconds. Only problem i’ve had is the color switch button on my control but it works on the app.

If you haven't figured it out yet, I found that pushing the middle of the color switch sets it to color mode, then you can use the left and right sides of the button to switch between the colors. I like the app but it's a bit slow to respond, so I've just been using the switch personally.

Thank you for your question regarding the SPKN110RGBL. If this is the model you have installed, there shouldn't be any type of little red LED light. This model communicates by Bluetooth on your device and with the wireless wall switch. We would recommend removing the cover to inspect where the right light is coming from and to verify your model number. Please reach out again if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Is there a way to operate this unit without the wall switch of App? I would like to operate this as a normal light and fan. Probably I want to use a smart swrich that will turn on the fan and the light when someone enters the bathroom. I don't care about customizing and changing the light color. My switch has stopped working and it does not want to link with the device and it's not turning on and nothing has changed. I haven't replaced the battery. The unit connects fine with my phone but the application just spins and does not move.

Thank you for your question on the ChromaComfort model. This fan and light is only operable by using the wireless wall control switch or the APP. We do not have instructions for wiring with a regular wired wall switch.

My remote fried the batteries the first day I got it, then the wall remote doesn’t pair with the device so now if I want to turn on the fan or light I have to whip out the app every time which is not great if I have guests over

@@tash12xii Thank you for your question on the SPKN110RGBL speaker, fan, and light unit. This model is Bluetooth compatible only. It is not compatible with Alexa or Google Home. The wireless wall switch needs to be linked to the unit within 3 minutes of applying power to the fan. If not done within this time frame, you will lose the window of opportunity to do so. We recommend turning power off at the breaker. When turning power back on, you now have 3 minutes to pair your switch. Press and hold the top light button on the switch for 5 seconds. This should pair the switch with the fan and the white light should flash. If you need warranty assistance with your switch, please contact Technical Support directly at 800-637-1453. The most important item is that you CANNOT use a wired wall switch. You hard wire the line wire, and must use the wireless remote.

We have no instructions for wiring this to a wall switch and are not able to troubleshoot any issues if this is done. There is an APP that can be downloaded, so you could try it and see if the colors work for you. If not, we recommend using the wireless wall switch.
