You can keep scale on with the ac adapter. They sell it but another 12v might work if you try them out.

Question 1: Has anyone figured out where to buy replacement batteries for the Accuteck scale? The battery well only accepts undersized AAA batteries made in China. (who knew that was a thing?). I had used this scale for 5 years before the batteries died. When I went to put Eveready AAAs in, they didn't fit. I ended up buying a new scale (same model). I hope it lasts another 5 years since I don't use it continuously as shown in your video. Question 2: Does you listing software work for everything sold on Amazon or only books? Thanks for the well-done video.

First of all Gary, I recommend plugging your scale into the wall so it stays on as youre listing… I personally do not use the batteries anymore. Yes, our software does work for everything sold on Amazon!

Happening with all softwares now unfortunately Repost from Jen Mindelen FBA Split Shipments TED Talk (It's FBM Schadenfreude 🍿 Time again!) Split shipments are the norm for now and no one knows how long it will last. As of this posting, they were revived 10 days ago. The last time the majority of Amazon sellers went through a Split Shipments Era, it lasted for more than 2 years. Some sellers experienced more than 3 years of split shipments. (I was one of the lucky ones.) There are a couple of options to deal with Splits. You can decline the FC assignments you are offered and try again in 10 minutes, 10 hours, 10 days. Some sellers experience more splits listing on weekdays than weekends, or vice versa. Sellers located in coastal regions got more splits than those in the middle regions. Any trend that happened in the past may or may not repeat. You can pay extra for Inventory Placement Services, but since media is technically not guaranteed under IPS, some sellers will still get splits. Some sellers will never get IPS to work for them. You can find and pay for a 3rd party listing program that has workarounds for splits. The software won't prevent splits, but will give you different options on how to deal with them. (Like using a "reassign" function until you get "better" distribution, or putting the titles from a small split into a holding bin and then re-inserting them into a future shipment.) Or you can switch to FBM. Split Shipments are an Amazon thing. Amazon does not care if this increases our inbound shipping costs. They do not care that it increases processing time. For every seller that quits over this issue, there are 5 new sellers waiting on the wings to replace them. Split Shipments save Amazon money by making sellers farm inventory out to multiple FC, as opposed to Amazon using their resources to do it. But FC transfers will continue to happen to split shipments, so don't assume your items will be "live" quicker, because they likely won't.

@@romertheroamer Would you recommend just submitting larger batches in the hopes that the split shipments will fill more boxes completely? Or should I just have a few smaller boxes for scenarios like this where only a few books are picked for the second shipment? Example: I wanted to send a box with 26 books, and it was split 18 and 8, but maybe if it was more like 60 or 70 that I was already going to split into 3, then maybe they'd let me send ~2 boxes to one location and most of another box to a second location. How do you try to optimize for this?

Hi Avery. Ive sent several batches to Amazon already. Ive had a few books that said "The SKU for this product is unknown or cannot be found" in red letters. I proceeded and sent then anyway. Is this okay or will there be possible issues down the road?

It will likely be fine. But if they go stranded you will have to resubmit skus from go2lister (inside the batch) I’m future I recommend waiting for red notifications to disappear

You can - but you will be sorry in the end. Ink rubs off, smudges, and that can mean charges at Amazon for them to relabel your stuff. Thermal labels don't budge.

Your first example has a new listing for $14.46 and you are showing us to list it used FBA for $16.99 ???????? Really... Did you add in all of our software costs ~ $1,600 a year, Supplies, All of the gear you just told us to buy... Your cost is NOT the price of the books... COGs are the price of the book, now you need to add in Software, supplies, equipment, fba inventory fees, returns, duds... THis book is not profitable...

@@romertheroamer - The point I'm making is that if you account for all costs and expenses, selling FBA @ $14 and change is not profitable at the level you are stating in your video. Perhaps you are making $1-$3 depending on COGs

Hey I had a question for you sir, do you have any advice for a 17 year old looking to prepare for my book business but I can't start for another 7 months? I purchased a Bluetooth scanner I've watched 40+ hours of content I've been using scout iq without a seller account (because you have to be 18) and I'm working on my job to save up money for inventory and equipment when the time comes. I have created listings on nexdoor and fb marketplace and have scanned every free book I can find. I have also purchased a small amount of low Risk high reward books for when I'm able to start selling. As I've seen, the market can change quite alot in 7 months so I'm not sure if it's wise to continue buying books obviously I will continue picking up free books. I guess my question is, for a person who has a long runway but intention to start a book business, what would you recommend doing besides studying content and earning money? I would appreciate your response ik this is a super long comment!
