I am polite, but I insist that if a book is in my cart,mthat it is mine. I am not a second class citizen because I resell books. When people attempt to take them out I just say, "Oh, so sorry,mthose are taken" in a pleasant tone of voice.

Oh no, that's not a problem. what app do you use? That is the question I get. I simply tell them I get it off my website. I have noticed on the green, gray, and red what books do sell.

I can't tell you the fiction books I find at san francisco's friend of library sale. First edition hardcovers for 5 that sell for 30+. You need to know literature though, to do it. Also, it's shocking how much genre fiction pre 2000 paperbacks can sell for. Anything older with a cool cover, people eat it up.

I would love if you would weigh in on very old books. I came across some from a hoarding situation. How do you value them if there are no comps, and would you use Amazon or Ebay to sell them? Love your videos by the way.

Children's books have some heavy hitters, but in general there's not as high of an accept rate there compared to other categories of books.

What store are you at? Is it a chain store? I've got no stores in my area that don't charge 3.00 for a hardcover and clearly prescan before putting books on the shelves. Do you have any suggestions on how to find profitable books in a situation like that? Thanks

Kindness doesn't work here in California, resellers and librarian workers find a way to complain even when your perfect. I leave it neater than when I come in but if I'm anywhere near a messy area left by a non reseller, then I'm in big trouble. They tend to pick on smaller women, and treat us like kids.

@Ashely Carter - I don't know what the "this" you are referring to is. If you didn't buy the book from a distributor, I would not list it as New regardless of condition. This is especially true of textbooks but there are other areas where publishers are quite territorial. Instead of listing the book as "New", I'd list it as "Like New" (Fine or Near Fine) and price it according to its actual condition. Otherwise, the reseller is too exposed to publisher's IP claims (or VERO) on AMZ or Ebay. Good luck.
