Something I was wondering was if the pros actually react to what their opponent does, or if they predict what they will do. Like I was wondering if someone has a video in training with the bot set to random dodge and jump reactions and the player still perfectly lands every string like 15 times in a row with no mistakes by simply reacting. But the training bot can only do so much cause I was able to react to at least random dodges with pretty good accuracy with only like 10 minutes of trying it so I'm sure it's no problem for the pros. But a real player has a bunch of options, like wake up attacks and fast falls and just slight movements left or right etc. so even being able to do it in training with random reactions from the bot doesn't mean you will still be able to land hits on a real player. But also I figured it's a combination of practicing against the bot in training to build the muscle memory and such, as well as having the knowledge of what your opponent, or what most opponents, tend to do often. that part where you say when you try to implement these things that you'll inevitably lose, it's like what I tell my friend when we keep losing in rocket league, that we have to climb down from our previous peak so we can climb up to a higher peak. Cause you can't just jump from one peak over to another peak, that just don't make sense.

now that Nick Brawl 2 is out. I cant play brawhalla, cause Nick has so much more ooptions as far as Shields, shield dodge, grabs, and way more oprtions in air and ledge grabs.

Hey brother new sub here so I’m hard core stuck plat for about a year and I’m a Lin fei main and I lose a lot of games simply because I’m not reading correctly or my read was just a frame too late..so my question is do you think going into training and putting the bot on random dodge is the best way to practice?

1st : i have personally never tried doing that and i still catch a lot of dodges, like i said in the start of the video its not really about reacting to the opponent dodges but more like understanding their playstyles and whats their favourite options. 2nd : if you're hardstuck there are so many factors to that its not just about the reads, in another video i made (5 steps to any rank) you can find on my channel, in that video i talk more in depth about being hardstuck and how to acctually rank up so check that out

why do i learn all these tips automatically while playing? That just feels strange.I think that i just fplayed to much fighting games. But i think that the reason why im not on plat yet is because idk how to continue combo after their dodge. Although i know exactly when they dodge, it doesnt help me a lot.

a wake up is when you hit someone and the first thing they do after being out of stun frame is attacking back
