When you only order them around and criticize and reprimand children, their brains develop in a certain way. The default setting of their neurological mechanism becomes stress and depression. The rest of their lives, they will have trouble pulling themselves out of depression and anxiety and stress. So the importance of relaxation and playing with them, to train their brains to be joyful, cannot be underestimated. I saw terrible things in our family that affected the children their whole lives. One even fell into alcoholism for over 30 years, to escape his inner pain. Please play with your children and love them and teach them life is a safe and easeful place where they can expect to be loved and respected.
