My error was going to man for what I should have been going to God for. A marriage of the flesh is no fun. But God is so faithful and loving that He will restore you, heal you, forgive you & still bless you. There is life after divorce. His ways are not our ways. He doesn't go back on His word. From my experience, the best way to move forward through a painful divorce is to get as close to God as you can. Everyday, morning, afternoon, and evening. Pray for God to take the pain and hurt away. After you have prayed for that, God will ease the pain. It took me about six months but the sick feeling is gone. You will always miss them. And guess what..? Become selfish. Treat yourself. All the things you couldn’t do. One day they will come back to you. And by then you may be in a better space and won’t want them. 😊

@Yelisa toxic. The dictionary might help. Drugs or alcohol are not required. Toxic is poison...its harmful...it can make you sick...it can kill. You will feel unwell you will feel sick if you stay around it. Look up Toxic Waste. You will understand or you will not. Stand in a toxic waste dump...ask the city workers where they keep such things. Enjoy the experience. Feel it. Love it. Live it. Hope you don't feel sick. If so...keep it to yourself. Sick.. Mentally. Physically. Emotionally. Run from it. Stay with it. Self medicate from it. Or Kill yourself from it. Been There. Done That. Unless you have also...please...try to keep silent on the issue. If she didn't had sex with another man then your divorce papers are meaningless and whether you sign or not you're still married. So if she didn't have sex with another man and you sign divorce papers and she thinks that she's single because of the papers then you are guilty of causing her to commit adultery everytime she has sex and if she gets married that's a lot of sex. If she didn't have sex with another man then don't sign the papers.

On 20:04 he said Luke 4:18 but I looked up that verse and it wasn't what he was reading. He was reading from Isaiah 61:1. That's why it's really important for us to have our own Bible while listening to these sermons.

Thersch the scripture is also in Luke. ..come on...it was Jesus's first Scripture he read in church and people got confused Coz his eyes opened and he said "the scripture has been fulfilled"Luke 4:18. Isaiah 61:1 was a prophesy that was fulfilled in Luke. ...shalom

I COMPLETELY DISAGREE that it is better to remain in a mess of a marriage than to put an end to it. Marriage should be purpose-driven and not just for the sake of it. As COVID helped many couples realise, they have been living with a cell-mate - which is what the world has made it - rather than a soulmate and destiny helper - which is what God intended.

Lord yes...attempted suicide and just barely made it out alive...i stood up and fell when I heard in my mind "Not now Betty"...i stood and fell that alerted the sleeping house. The scars are barely visible today...yrs. it took them to fade from my skin Yeah....I almost died...and yes...God caused me to stand and fall alerting the sleeping husband beside me.
