I had Throat Cancer at 65 years old and within 2 months I completed Chemo and Radiation. I’ve had 5 good years since and I’m not done. Cancer doesn’t have to be a death sentence. Take care of yourself.

Yes it comes down to taking care of yourself and alot of luck. I am 66 and my big brother died from lung cancer at 56 years old, my dad also passed from lung cancer. I am a. Former smoker and huge beer drinker. I self medicated my PTSD for so many years. So many years lost. Widower now, I can't help but think that I caused my beautiful island girl to develop cancer caused from my bad habits. I think about that alot, it really haunts me.

I have spent a FORTUNE on healtcare in the Philippines. My wife's 2nd kid cost me almost 10k US dollars (there were complications). I think your mental outlook has a big affect on your health and at my age (66+) I feel the same as Randy... So far I've had skin cancer, two operations, and treat using diet and to a much lesser degree lifestyle - plus other maladies that we all get as you age... I do enjoy life and that might not be what experts would advise... I will also not do chemo or radiation ever... Enjoy life as much as possible is my motto... TC... 🙏🙏🙏 👍😎👍

I will be turning 68 this Sunday in the USA and I’m waiting to get my Social Security. I had to hire a lawyer and we were going to go to the Social Security office March 2nd and I got a text from my Lawyer saying we have to reschedule so I’m kind a bummed. The reason I had to hire a Lawyer is because I have to clear up a overpayment issue from when I was on disability 25 years ago and my Lawyer has an agreement with Social Security but we need to go in personally to resolve the issue. Anyway it’s been a long road ahead….I really enjoy your channel….

Do not worry live your life and enjoy it. Life is too short to worry too much of medical. I work in open heart ICU here in Canada and even with the best medical ( death comes to all of us, it does not discriminate) It is the quality of life that counts not the quantity of years. Keep the positive outlook !!! Peace of advice at least have once a year blood work to check kidney, blood ,liver panels and check A1C ( sugar) and CRP ( inflammation) that way you can decide which you need to modify BUT it is your life to live. Do what makes you happy.

I prefer our Philippines to retire nothing like the warm weather, here old folks are couped up and lonely or gets their groceries in the middle of winter unless you have great family to take care of that . Our culture respects the elders and being a social being it gets harder here when you get older. I am looking forward 4 more years of working Rose I will go back farming inTablas Romblon. Sorround yourself Rose with like minded women hardworking,classy and has a sense of pride and dignity to doing what you do. Avoid competitiveness and people that do not bring growth to you and Randy. I think you should keep some Nitrogliserin pills. If you ever have heart or chest pains they will give you time to get to hospital. In the USA I give them to friends even though it is perscribed.

Each person/couple has their own situation. I retired to cebu city with my Filipina wife about 6 years ago. During our 1st month of retirement, my wife being 50 at the time came down with breast cancer. Cost here in the Philippines for her type of cancer was quoted for over $35000. I took her back to the states which we still had great health insurance and after 1.5 years of treatment, cost us $350000. Our total cost was about $7000 out of pocket. It's very easy to say you pick death but it's harder to go through with it. We are now retired again in cebu city for over 2 years now. Cancer is a monster. Nice video.

Brother, I recently found my dream girl on Filipinocupid. Just do one month subscription. Two days on the site, I received a good 90-100 messages from gorgeous girls. I’m a very short guy, 5’3, so my selections are probably much less than yours would be. The only caviat, many scammers on there. If they instantly want you to go chat on another site, delete them. They try to get you to subscribe to another site so they can apparently show you more pics of themselves but it’s BS. I’ve googled these sites and they have been red flagged. Don’t choose the first one. Be patient. You will eventually click. Be authentic and truthful and let them Know if you don’t want children. Good luck.

In the Philippines or else where, you can't live in a foreign country without health insurance or enough money for private medical consultation, medicine and procedures. Medical care is expensive just like in any place in the world. Without personal money or insurance, you find yourself foregoing medical care until your condition is worse. Actually that's how most Filipinos live. They avoid doctors until they get very sick. We self medicate until it doesn't work. And people are dying from otherwise preventable or curable diseases just because they didn't seek medical care. Not unique to the Philippines at all. It's worldwide and a result of economic poverty.

That is true, Hers my thought about this. As a FILIPINO MYSELF,,I SEE lots of wrong doings,happening in the lives our people,and thats their choice. Most Filipino can afford to spend all what they make each day on stuff thet they dont need,but they cant afford a peny to saVe for medical purposes, They live on what we call " ONE DAY MILLIONARE' GLADLY I HAD MY SELF EDUCATION FOR THAT...HOPE FOR THE BEST AND PREPARE FOR THE WORST.. MANY MANY people spemds thousands of pesos for celebrations that only last for a day,,and they go through a year of suffering by not having enough food that makes them sick just to prepare for that big event,,very WRONG,,YES,,,. And I EXACTLY DO THE OPOSIITE. I learnt the value of each penny I make..and thanks to childhood poverty taught me how tyo climb and educate myself by learning the most basic code of life,, learnt the diffrence of needs and wants,learnt that never spend more than what you make and third save first before you spend, Thank you and ahve a great day

We lived in Southern Leyte and will be moving there for good next year. There are several expats in our neighboring barangays. I think none of them vlog that's why you don't hear about them. But there's more or less 20 expats who own houses and are settled there. When we first got there we were visited by some of them to welcome us and we were added to their list of expats.

I think you severely underestimate the worst thing that could happen to you. Still, I agree overall. I've had many dozens of doctors and surgeons lie directly to my face. In fact, I can't recall a single one that didn't lie to me at some point. Eventually they murdered my wife in front of me with intentional overdose. As a result, I have no faith or trust in their profession and would prefer to take my chances naturally. Health insurance would be a total waste of money for me because things could never get bad enough for me to go to a doctor.

I have to tell you in the last three years I had 3 friends in the Philippines Die.. and who would have not died in the US...one had a Stroke..and one was on a oxygen tank...and the other had a heart attack and couldn't afford the medication there.
