A lot of practitioners in the mental health field want grief to be included as a defined mental illness/diagnosis in the DSM, like depression is because it can be just as damaging and difficult. 💔

This is when you begin to pray over your spouse. Pray and intercede for him and as Yvette said find ways to fill your own love tank. You do that by seeking out God to fill those spaces when your spouse is not meeting the mark.

Yup. This was good My personality is closer to Yvette’s but to say that grief hasn’t had me in a chock hold over the past 4 years would be a lie. Grief is such a weird experience. I lost two very important people within a 3 year timeframe and it literally makes you feel like a wound that was finally starting to heal, got reopened and pulled at. But God. I’m really grateful to know Him and that He allows us to be angry with him. To express our frustration and sorrow to him. As often as we need. Cause He’s equipped for it. Whew.

This episode brought me to tears. Grief is something we all experience at some point and that literally does not make it any easier. My husband’s mother is sick and we are keeping faith she will heal, but it’s scary. I am asking myself how I can support him? How can I help him through this? You guys really talk about the important things in life.

The best part is that you’re both already well equipped to handle any of the matters that could potentially arise. I truly love this for you both. I am just like Theo, from childhood until now. I wonder if that is a personality type or something. I just need STRUCTURE and ORDER and in a family of 9 it was always chaos and being late.

I was literally just in my head all morning, thinking about how much I struggle with order and structure. My son is going to kindergarten, and I'm so nervous about inadvertently sabotaging his education the way my mom did mine--always late for school, never had what I needed because my parents couldn't be bothered, always getting picked up late or forgotten. I'm not sure it was "inadvertent" for them, but it would be for me. It's making me emotional trying to figure out how to change the overall lack of structure I've been living with all my life. Oh, and I'm from a family of 9. I don't recognize the dog in your picture, so I don't THINK you're my sibling. Could be though, iono. 😂

Thank you for sharing your grief story. I think one thing that helped me...I actually heard in a speak from Joe Biden - " You are not going to always feel this way and sometimes the memories that make you cry ( right after someone leaves), will be the memories that make you you smile at some point."

Definitely one of those situations where the wife’s as well as the husband’s “FAITH” is being tested. God has shook up their normal, and is trying to call them back to his kingdom. For the husband, God may have been trying to demonstrate that he needed more Glory from himself , more obedience in the husband’s faith . For the wife, God may be trying to redirect her focus from the husband/marriage to himself. Their comes a time in marriage where I believe that God wants to test, if you truly love him on your own and love him more than you love your spouse or your life. Prayer changes things. The very struggles you endure in life, are in the very area you lack belief that God can correct.

Glen needs to have a serious conversation with Yvette about her self-confessed "sugar addiction" because that means she's intentionally heading right into an early cancer grave, unless she can look after her health properly. Our bodies have no spare parts, so there's that too. She needs to be alive for her children and husband's sake, as y'all are depending on each other to keep the family together.

The idea that God takes our loved ones for himself is on the greatest deceptions of the Devil!
@faylinsings5751

When someone dies, it is just the revelation of what flesh is intended to do. It is intended to expire. Our flesh is corruptible. Our flesh is not intended to live forever. God has nothing to do with death. The death in our flesh does what it is supposed to do, which is die. The “life” we think we have in our flesh is actually death. True Life, through Christ, can never be subject to death. But death is subject to its own nature.
