I JUST started my AI Faceless KZbin channel @AiGenerationInc and you just inspired me in so many ways from the documentary style to the meme usage to the way you applied current AI tools. Eno's Ambient series is for me the anti-Musak: materialist meditation, subliminal difficult-listening music, challenging capitalism's manufactured environments, from airport terminals to recording equipment! Your channel got me thinking...was smooth jazz neoliberalism's answer to ambient or just another appropriation of Black music as disco and then hiphop drew attention away from jazz. I wish lo-fi could be the new musique d'ameublement. I should try it in my classroom! I also hope you consider publishing the music you and your AI collaborators created. I want to hear live musicians perform these compositions!

I would suggest finding a rather old book called The Transformative Vision by Jose' Arguelles, on the danger when the human soul is drowned in technological advances and succumbs to the allure of endless creativity with the click of a key. I did subscribe though because I think you have much to say, although the music to my ears doesn't sound human, very stiff, lovely and unusual melody though.

Super cool video, interesting to see the AI midi process. I personally find AI music to be a lot less convincing than AI visuals. What it is is the temporality, I think music needs to be "predictive", chords and durations and phrases are there to preempt what's coming next. In contrast, I think AI compositions are a sequence of disconnected chords, not shocking when going from one to the next, but lacking structure as a whole. I find it interesting that we are much more easily fooled visually than acoustically. We and to consider vision our first and main sense, however we know music touches us more deeply, directly than vision in terms of brain processing (as does the olfactory system). I think this only proves that ;)
