@@insertcoolnamehere937 no hes telling the truth. i also did everything possible and many are now stating and showing, the HD textures no longer load in this fashion. could be windows 10 updates, doubt it but who knows. I can however strongly back his problem as i followed this, and other tutorials to a T and still they refuse to load. It is simply broken in the new Dolphin build.

Make sure you didn't put the textures in a subfolder as they will not load that way.

You only need one. I would try .dds for better performance first. Either mega or Google Drive works.

I think the more recent version of Dolphin requires the files to be in Dolphin Emulator\User\Load\Textures\ now instead of just Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\, great vid nonetheless!!

Have you made sure to Change the resolution in dolphin from the default , the textures wont showup unless its an hd resolution , I had the same issue at first

your answer is no. but you could use a program like wiiscrubber and edit the iso with the custom textures and then put that on the wii.

IF THIS ISN'T WORKING FOR YOU. You probably made the same mistake I did, and were trying to use the DDS version of the pack on the 5.0 Stable version of Dolphin. Either switch to the PNG version, or update to one of the newer development builds of Dolphin. I know this video is old, but with any luck this will save some people a hell of a lot of time.

This doesn't work for me using the latest dolphin release and Resident Evil 2. I've got a texture pack that utilizes all .png file types. I've made a custom folder within the texture folder, named it the game's ID, and put all the files within that folder. Load Custom Textures is checked within Dolphin, internal resolution is set to 3x native(for 1080P), and the game....simply doesn't load the custom textures. I'm not computer illiterate by any means. The instructions you gave are the right ones and it makes complete sense to me, it's just for whatever reason...the emulator/game is not loading these textures. I don't think I've missed a step somewhere, and there appears to be nothing wrong with the Texture pack I'm using. Everything seems in order when overlooking all the individual textures, and I know for a fact they work as I've seen other people use them. Color me mind-boggled. I think I'm gonna chalk it up to using the wrong dolphin version. It's a developmental build and one thing I noticed was that the "LOAD" folder for textures is supposed to be within a "User" folder, apparently this changed with newer versions of dolphin...and yet I'm using the latest developmental build and there is no User folder to be found. I tried creating the correct folder path myself and installing the textures there, but they still fail to load. I'm gonna download an older stable release of Dolphin and try again. That's the only thing I can think of atm. Edit: Fixed it by using a different version of dolphin. I went to an older stable build and yeah, problem solved. I actually liked using one of the recent developmental builds, I had really good compatibility with it for some odd reason. I had just never attempted to load custom textures before so I never ran into that problem until now. Oh well. Can't complain.

I have a video on my channel going through the process of dumping and creating custom textures in Dolphin. Not sure if its outdated but worse case scenario you could always use an older build of Dolphin. Havent messed with GC/Wii emulation in a bit.

Hey Vivi. I'm having issues getting hd galaxy 2 texture packs. The file was a png file so i decided to drag all files into the folder. The game id for galaxy 2 is SB4E01 (0001000053423445). I typed it in and nothing worked. should i try just doing the sb4e01 part? thanks!

if you're on windows 10, or 7, or 8 with classic shell, open the start bar. then type in dolphin.exe and right click it and click open file location

I did everything outlined in this video, and the HD Texture pack for Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes doesn't work at all. I've checked forum posts, I've double and triple-checked the steps to get textures up and running, and nothing works.

Did you download the texture pack for the correct game region version? Games have different game IDs depending on the region. It's possible the texture pack you downloaded and region of the ISO are different.
