@@Guitarnivore I'm hoping you can answer a question about an issue I've run into that I can't work out. I noticed there were 4 presets already saved in my newly purchased MKII 50 when tone central was downloaded. Having downloaded patches and attempting to test them out, the patch tones would not change most of the time when clicking the mouse on different patches to try out. However, only after turning the amp off and on, the new tone would kick in when trying them out. This would only last for anywhere between 2 and 6 different patches, then the tones would not change again regardless of when patch I was clicking on. Had to turn the amp off and on again for it to work properly again and the cycle would repeat to where I turned the amp off and on in order for the new tone to be heard. I have the newest update downloaded as well. Can you assist at all? Thanks in advance...

@@tg8882 I recall having a similar issue, but it was a while ago. Maybe back up your patchers and do a factory reset on the amp. It won't roll back your firmware, so don't worry about that. Also, if you have another usb cable, try switching it out. I've had cables go bad.

I am preferring FX Floorboard because it lets me position my effects send/return anywhere I want. I have several preamps on my pedal board that I use to get the tones I want. I also have an EQ and an ancient Maxon OD-808 overdrive and a looper pedal on there. Also on there is the footswitch pedal for my Boss Katana 100 Mk2 head. So the pedal board creates the tone, it goes into the effects return which is positioned AFTER the Katana preamp and EQ but before all the effects and power amp. So I get to create my tone with various preamps, bypass the Katana preamp and tone controls, and then use all the great effects onboard the Katana. This actually works very well except for one thing.... No matter where I put the onboard noise gate, I cannot get anything through it. I have adjusted it every which way I can but I can never get anything through it. What am I missing? I had it in the signal path before when I was using the somewhat limited chain selection in the Katana Studio and it worked fine. On FX Floorboard I was trying to put the noise gate right after the effects loop return so basically right after the EQ and preamps. No joy. Nothing through it no matter how I have it set up. I tried different locations; in the middle of the effects, after the effects... no go. I have to shut it off completely to get a signal out.

With the 50, yes only 4 presets. If you use the panel to make adjustments and you want to save them, you have to long press the bank/channel button you want to save it to. The best way to go is with the Tone Studio though. It makes it a lot easier. There is also a $9 mobile app you can use.

@@Guitarnivore Thanks so much for the response. I was hoping that was not the case. That is a crazy upsell decision from Boss ... Not impressed at all. @@chrabart2852 The channels really don't coincide with the amp types. You can program each channel however you like. You could program every channel clean if you wanted to. @Guitarnivore2 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. It's been awhile and I'm not sure. The best thing to do if you like those patches is to create a new group in your tone library and save them there. That way if you ever want to get them back, you can just reload them into the bank.
