what kind of trailer do i need for a gibson boatel

So what do you do for a ramp that doesn't allow power loading?
@boatinglessons3 жыл бұрын
That’s a challenge for sure. You need to get the trailer in a little further so you can crank it on. It is harder on the equipment and harder to get it loaded straight, but it can be done

Sure works (sort of) with bunk tailors not roller tailors. The sort of is power loading destroys the landing and anyone with a longer trailor now has their trailor sunk and stuck the hole created all the power loading boats. Hit the weights, grow some muscle and winch the damn boat on. Had to add and edit. Actually pull your boat with the correct vehicle. Don't show up with a 5000+lb boat and think your lifted 2 wheel drive truck is going to pull it out when the ramp is wet and slippery.

Hi. I just saw this. You left out a VERY important loading consideration. Many boat ramps do not have concrete bottoms. If the ramp has a gravel, sand, or mud bottom loading like you describe is very bad. What you are recommending is commonly called "motor loading". Loading like you describe causes the prop wash to excavate a hole where the outboard is positioned when loading and the excavated material to be deposited in a mound some distance behind the hole you've just dug. This hole and mound will get bigger causing your outboard to strike the mound when you approach the ramp plus cause the ramp to be gradually erode into the prop wash hole. Please redo this KZbin and stress the limitations to motor loading. Thanks

You have the trailer WAY to far in the water to properly load a boat.....You need to pull it up some otherwise the rear of the boat can drift.....You should know this....

Been divorced 3 times. Think parking boat was more stressful, but not as costly 😄

lol, I will take your word for it
@NeverEnoughPyro404 жыл бұрын
If that is a private boat ramp then I will give you a pass for powering your boat onto the trailer, A lot of boat ramps have rules where you cannot power your boat on or off of your trailer! I hope I do not need to explain the reason why!
@boatinglessons4 жыл бұрын
You are right, and we took for granted that people would follow any local laws/rules. We were focusing on ways to make it easier and less stressful and didn't think to mention that part. Thank you for pointing that out!

@@patrickc8190 did you end up getting a boat? We got into it last year and it was great! Looking forward to this summer.

Almost okay, never stay in the boat when pulling out of the water.
@boatinglessons4 жыл бұрын
Really, why is that? Never heard anyone say that before.
@hauwieII4 жыл бұрын
@@boatinglessons if the trailer isn’t attached correctly or the attching line snaps you’d better not be in the boat. ( or the people not having a big tractor clutch)
