great video, one thing you can do to check your threads is to remove the chuck with your part still in it, I hope this helps.

I usually feed in about 5 thou at a time on the compound when I am starting out and then from about halfway and on I slow that down to 2-3 thou at a time. Thanks! Glad you like it!

Picking a real nit here, but that slag coating on your flat stock identifies that as hot roll not c.r.s.. Any time you have a choice, always avoid hot roll as that slag coating is very hard and will eat up tooling. Really like the attachment design.

Alternately , if you don't have cold rolled on hand , a Vinegar bath will take that scale off in a couple days time .
